Wholesale uniform for hospital manufacturers

When sourcing hospital uniforms, prioritize fabrics with a Polyester-Cotton blend (typically 65/35 or 55/45) to balance breathability with durability. Ensure the fabric weight is between 150-180 GSM for scrubs and higher for lab coats. Key functional treatments should include antimicrobial finishes, fluid resistance (Teflon coating), and chlorine-bleach resistance to withstand rigorous industrial laundering.

Suppliers must adhere to ISO 13485 for medical device quality management and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 to ensure no harmful substances are present. For protective garments, check for EN 13795 (European standard for surgical drapes and gowns) or AAMI Level 1-4 ratings depending on the fluid barrier protection required in specific hospital departments.

Request designs featuring reinforced bartack stitching at stress points like pockets and side slits. Functional requirements should include multi-compartment utility pockets, badge loops, and side vents for mobility. For surgical scrubs, ensure non-fading vat dyeing technology is used so colors remain consistent after 50+ high-temperature washes.

For wholesale orders, MOQs typically range from 500 to 1,000 sets for custom colors. To optimize costs, utilize standardized sizing charts (S-3XL) to reduce pattern-making fees. Choosing Made-in-China.com verified suppliers allows you to leverage economies of scale, often reducing unit costs by 20-25% compared to local distributors.

Always request a pre-production sample (PPS) before the bulk run. Hire a third-party inspection service (like SGS or Intertek) to perform an AQL 2.5/4.0 inspection focusing on seam strength, color shading, and size tolerance (±1cm). Ensure the contract specifies that payment is released only after a successful inspection report.

Focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate for spare buttons and trim inclusions (1% extra) at no cost. For long-term partnerships, request staggered payment terms (30% deposit / 70% against BL copy) and ask for a price lock agreement for 6-12 months to hedge against raw material fluctuations.

For bulk hospital orders, Sea Freight (FCL or LCL) is the most cost-effective method. Ensure the supplier uses vacuum-sealed packaging to reduce volume and protect against moisture during transit. Clearly define Incoterms (FOB or CIF) in the contract and verify if your country has specific anti-dumping duties on textile imports from China.

Conduct all transactions through secure payment channels provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com, utilizing their Secured Trading Service. This ensures your funds are held in escrow and only released to the supplier once you confirm receipt and quality of the goods, protecting you from non-delivery or sub-standard products.
