Wholesale used laptop $50 manufacturers

At this price point, laptops are generally 4-7 years old. Expect processors like Intel Core i3 or i5 (4th to 6th Gen), 4GB to 8GB of RAM, and 128GB SSDs or 320GB HDDs. Screens are usually 12.5 to 14 inches with HD resolution (1366x768). These units are best suited for basic office tasks, educational use, or web browsing.

Suppliers use a grading system: Grade A (minor scratches, no dents), Grade B (visible scratches, minor chips), and Grade C (heavy wear, possible screen blemishes). For $50, you are likely looking at Grade B or B- stock. Always confirm if the AC adapter (charger) is included, as some wholesalers sell 'unit only' to lower costs.

Batteries are consumable items. In the $50 range, most suppliers guarantee that the battery will hold a charge, but runtime may only be 1-2 hours. If your market requires longer life, negotiate for new compatible batteries or a minimum 80% health capacity guarantee, though this may increase the unit price.

Ensure the laptops have a valid Windows COA (Certificate of Authenticity) sticker. For international trade, verify CE, FCC, or RoHS markings if required by your local customs. It is critical to confirm that the BIOS is not password protected and that there are no CompuTrace or MDM locks from previous corporate owners.

Request a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) or a video of the BIOS screen and system properties for a random sample of the lot. Use Made-in-China.com's secured payment services to ensure funds are only released after you verify the shipment meets the agreed-upon Grade specifications.

Laptops contain lithium-ion batteries, which are classified as Dangerous Goods (UN3481). You must ensure the supplier provides a UN38.3 Test Report and an MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet). Shipping via sea freight is more cost-effective for wholesale lots, but ensure the packaging uses anti-static bubble bags and double-walled cartons to prevent transit damage.

Focus on volume and consistency. Suppliers are more likely to hit the $50 mark if you take a 'mixed lot' (various models) rather than a specific SKU. Ask for a 1-3% spare parts allowance (extra keyboards, chargers, or batteries) instead of a cash discount to cover potential defects without the hassle of international returns.

Some countries have strict e-waste regulations that prohibit the import of non-functional used electronics. Ensure your commercial invoice clearly states the items are 'Refurbished/Used Laptops for Resale' and includes the HS Code 847130. Check if your country requires an import permit for second-hand goods to avoid seizure at customs.
