230mm angle grinder manufacturers

For a 230mm (9-inch) angle grinder, the motor power is critical; look for a minimum of 2,200W to 2,600W to ensure the tool doesn't stall under heavy loads. The no-load speed typically ranges between 6,000 and 6,600 RPM. Ensure the unit features soft-start technology to reduce the initial torque kickback and carbon brush auto-stop functions to protect the motor from damage when brushes are worn out.

Compliance is non-negotiable for power tools. For the European market, ensure the product has CE, GS, and RoHS certifications. For the United States, look for UL or ETL listing. Additionally, verify that the supplier adheres to ISO 9001 for quality management and that the tool meets EN 60745-2-3 safety standards specifically for grinders to ensure user protection against wheel bursts.

Request details on the gearbox material, which should be die-cast aluminum or magnesium alloy for better heat dissipation. The armature and stator should be 100% copper with epoxy resin coating to protect against metallic dust (anti-dust protection). Ask for the continuous working time rating and ensure the tool has labyrinth construction to seal the bearings and gears from debris.

Due to the weight of 230mm grinders (often 5-7kg), a vibration-dampening side handle and a rotatable main handle are essential for operator comfort. A tool-less wheel guard adjustment allows for quick positioning, and a dead-man switch (trigger switch) is preferred in many industrial settings to ensure the tool stops immediately if dropped.

Always request a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) by a third-party agency like SGS or Intertek. Specifically, instruct them to perform a Hi-Pot test (High Voltage Insulation test) and a loading test to verify the actual wattage matches the nameplate. Sourcing through reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com allows you to select Audited Suppliers who have undergone verified on-site inspections.

For 230mm grinders, MOQs typically range from 200 to 500 units for custom branding (OEM). To get better pricing, offer a forecasted annual volume rather than a one-off order. Negotiate for 2-3% spare parts (FOC), such as extra carbon brushes, switches, and flanges, to be included in the shipment to handle local warranty claims efficiently.

Angle grinders are heavy and contain magnets; ensure the packaging is reinforced (double-corrugated export cartons) with internal molded plastic or high-density foam to prevent impact damage. For sea freight, use desiccant silica gel packs inside the individual color boxes to prevent moisture from causing rust on the inner motor laminations during long-distance transit.

Utilize Secured Trading Services offered by Made-in-China.com to ensure your payment is only released to the supplier once you confirm the goods have been shipped and meet the agreed-upon quality.
