Blind inside double glass window manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize Tempered Safety Glass (meeting EN 12150 or ASTM C1048) to ensure durability. The Insulated Glass Unit (IGU) must be hermetically sealed with Argon gas filling to prevent internal fogging and improve thermal insulation. For the blinds, look for Aluminum alloy slats with a UV-resistant coating to prevent fading and warping over time. The control mechanism—whether magnetic manual sliders or motorized remote systems—should be tested for at least 20,000 cycles of operation.

Check the U-Value (thermal transmittance) and SHGC (Solar Heat Gain Coefficient); a lower U-value indicates better insulation. For soundproofing, ensure the window has a high STC (Sound Transmission Class) rating, typically achieved through varying glass thicknesses (e.g., 5mm + 20A + 5mm). The integrated blinds provide an additional layer of thermal buffering, reducing heat loss in winter and solar gain in summer.

For the North American market, look for NFRC (National Fenestration Rating Council) certification and AAMA standards. For the European market, CE Marking and compliance with EN 1279 (for glass in building) are essential. If the product is motorized, the electrical components must carry UL, ETL, or TUV certifications to ensure safety and compatibility with local power grids.

One of the primary selling points is that these units are virtually maintenance-free because the blinds are protected from dust, allergens, and physical damage. However, the external control interface (magnetic slider or wall switch) should be checked for mechanical wear. Ensure the supplier provides a long-term warranty (typically 5-10 years) specifically covering the seal integrity, as a seal failure will lead to condensation that cannot be cleaned.

Request customized plywood crates with shock-absorbing foam and corner protectors. Ensure the supplier uses A-frame racks for container loading to keep the glass upright. It is highly recommended to purchase All-Risk Marine Insurance and include a clause for third-party pre-shipment inspection to verify packing standards before the balance payment is made.

Focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate for spare control kits (magnets or motors) to be included in the bulk order (usually 1-2% extra). Ask for a tiered pricing structure based on annual volume rather than a single shipment. For large projects, request a factory video audit or a Gold Medal Supplier report from Made-in-China.com to verify their production capacity and export history.

Always use Secured Payment services or Letter of Credit (L/C) for high-value transactions to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment. Avoid transferring funds to private bank accounts; ensure the beneficiary name matches the company name on the Business License. Verify that the supplier has a Quality Management System (ISO 9001) in place to handle defect claims efficiently.

Consult with a local customs broker regarding the HS Code (typically 7008.00 for multiple-walled insulating units of glass). Be aware of Anti-Dumping Duties (ADD) that some regions (like the EU or USA) may impose on Chinese aluminum frames or glass. Request a Certificate of Origin (CO) from the supplier to potentially benefit from Free Trade Agreements (FTA) and reduce import tariffs.
