Carpet weaving machines manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize weaving width (typically ranging from 2m to 5m) and reed density to ensure the machine meets specific production requirements. It is crucial to verify the insertion rate (measured in picks per minute) to calculate output capacity. Additionally, look for machines equipped with electronic Jacquard heads for complex pattern flexibility and servo-motor drives to ensure high precision and energy efficiency.

For the European market, the machine must carry the CE Marking, indicating compliance with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. For global safety, ensure the equipment meets ISO 11111 standards for textile machinery safety requirements. Additionally, electrical components should adhere to IEC standards to ensure compatibility with industrial power grids and prevent electrical hazards.

Wilton looms are ideal for high-speed production of residential carpets with limited colors, offering superior cost-efficiency for mass markets. In contrast, Axminster machines allow for up to 16 colors and are preferred for luxury hospitality projects where intricate designs are required. Buyers must align the machine technology with their target market's aesthetic and durability demands.

Carpet weaving machines require a reinforced concrete foundation to minimize vibration, which can affect weave quality. A stable compressed air supply (minimum 6-8 bar) is necessary for pneumatic components. Furthermore, the facility must maintain controlled humidity (50-65%) and temperature to prevent yarn breakage and static electricity issues during the weaving process.

Always mandate a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) conducted by a reputable third party like SGS or Intertek. Request a video FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) where the supplier runs the machine using your specific yarn type. Ensure the contract includes a retention money clause (typically 10%) held until the machine is successfully commissioned at your facility.

Focus on the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the sticker price. Negotiate for the inclusion of vulnerable spare parts (e.g., needles, grippers, and sensors) for the first two years of operation. Seek extended warranties on core components like the PLC and main motor, and confirm if the supplier can provide on-site installation and technician training as part of the package.

Carpet looms are heavy and oversized; they usually require Flat Rack containers or Open Top containers. Ensure the supplier uses professional anti-rust treatment (VCI film) and vacuum packaging to prevent sea salt corrosion. Verify that the supplier provides a detailed packing list and loading photos to facilitate smooth customs clearance and prevent damage during transit.

Utilize secure payment methods such as Irrevocable Letters of Credit (L/C at sight) or secure escrow services provided by professional platforms like Made-in-China.com. Avoid full upfront payments; a standard structure is 30% deposit and 70% against the Bill of Lading (B/L) after successful inspection. Always verify the supplier's Business License and Export Qualification before transferring funds.
