Cassia oil manufacturers

Buyers must prioritize the Cinnamic Aldehyde content, which should typically range between 75% to 85% for high-grade essential oil. Ensure the Refractive Index is within 1.6000 to 1.6140 and the Specific Gravity falls between 1.052 to 1.070 at 20°C. Additionally, the oil should be a yellow to reddish-brown liquid with a characteristic pungent odor, and solubility in 70% ethanol must be confirmed to ensure purity and lack of adulteration.

For food and beverage applications, ISO 22000 or HACCP certification is essential. If the oil is intended for the US market, FDA registration and GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) status are required. For European markets, compliance with REACH regulations is mandatory. Furthermore, Kosher and Halal certifications significantly expand market reach, while a Certificate of Analysis (COA) and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) must accompany every batch.

Natural Cassia Oil contains trace components like o-Methoxycinnamaldehyde, which are often absent in synthetic versions. Buyers should request GC-MS (Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry) reports to verify the chemical fingerprint. Chiral analysis or Carbon-14 isotope testing can also be employed to detect synthetic additives, ensuring the product is 100% pure and natural as per B2B procurement requirements.

Cassia Oil is widely used in the flavor and fragrance industry for its warm, spicy profile. In the pharmaceutical sector, it is valued for its antimicrobial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties. It also serves as a key ingredient in agricultural pesticides due to its natural repellent qualities and in cosmetics for warming therapies, provided it is diluted to meet IFRA (International Fragrance Association) standards to avoid skin sensitization.

The most significant risk is adulteration with synthetic cinnamaldehyde or cheaper carrier oils to lower costs. Another risk involves leakage or oxidation during transit; Cassia Oil is sensitive to light and air. To mitigate this, ensure the supplier uses fluorinated HDPE drums or epoxy-lined steel drums and provides nitrogen blanketing for bulk shipments to maintain chemical stability.

Prices for Cassia Oil fluctuate based on the raw material harvest seasons (typically Spring and Autumn). It is advisable to sign annual supply contracts to lock in prices. For new buyers, start with a sample order (1-5kg) for lab testing before committing to a standard MOQ of 25kg or 180kg drums. Volume discounts of 5-10% are common when moving from LCL to FCL shipments.

Always utilize Trade Terms like CIF or FOB clearly defined in the contract. For payment, use Secured Payment services or Letter of Credit (L/C) for large volumes to ensure funds are only released upon verification of shipping documents. We highly recommend sourcing through verified manufacturers on Made-in-China.com, utilizing their Audit Reports to verify the supplier's production capacity and legal standing.

Cassia Oil is often classified as a Class 9 Miscellaneous Dangerous Good or a flammable liquid depending on its flash point (typically around 88°C). Ensure the supplier provides a Dangerous Goods Declaration and uses UN-approved packaging. For customs clearance, the HS Code 330129 is generally used; however, buyers must check for specific import duties and phytosanitary requirements in their destination country.
