Cat d6r bulldozer manufacturers

When evaluating a Cat D6R, you must prioritize the engine model (typically Cat 3306 or C9 ACERT) and its net power output (approx. 175-185 hp). Check the undercarriage configuration, specifically whether it is XL (Extra Long), LGP (Low Ground Pressure), or XW (Extra Wide), as this determines its suitability for specific terrains like swamps or rocky soil. Additionally, verify the blade capacity (S-blade, SU-blade, or U-blade) and the operating weight (approx. 18,000 - 20,000 kg) to ensure it meets your project's earthmoving requirements.

Focus on the undercarriage wear percentage, as this represents the highest maintenance cost; look for at least 50-70% remaining life on tracks, rollers, and idlers. Request oil analysis reports for the engine and transmission to detect internal wear. Check the hydraulic system for leaks or pressure drops and inspect the hour meter for authenticity. A well-maintained D6R can operate for over 20,000 to 30,000 hours if the powertrain and final drives have been serviced according to manufacturer intervals.

The Cat D6R has various series (Series I, II, III). You must ensure the engine's EPA Tier or EU Stage rating matches the environmental regulations of the destination country. For example, Tier 2 or Tier 3 engines are common in secondary markets, but may face restrictions in the US or EU. Always request the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) certificate and verify the Serial Number (PIN) through official databases to ensure the machine is not stolen and is eligible for export.

The D6R is a versatile mid-size dozer ideal for land clearing, highway construction, and large-scale agricultural leveling. Its differential steering system allows it to maintain power to both tracks while turning, making it superior for heavy dozing in confined spaces. It is also widely used in mining reclamation and waste management when equipped with specialized trash-handling guards.

The biggest risks include misrepresentation of machine hours and hidden structural damage (such as frame cracks). To mitigate this, always hire a third-party inspection service (e.g., SGS or CCIC) to perform a physical audit before final payment. Ensure the transaction is protected by Trade Terms on Made-in-China.com to secure your funds until the shipping documents are verified.

Focus on the Total Landed Cost, not just the unit price. Negotiate for the inclusion of essential wear parts (filters, seals, track bolts) in the package. For multiple units, aim for a 5-10% discount or request extended powertrain warranties. Demand detailed video walk-arounds and cold-start demonstrations as a prerequisite for price finalization.

For heavy dozers, Ro-Ro (Roll-on/Roll-off) shipping is generally the safest and most efficient. If Ro-Ro is unavailable, Flat Rack containers are the alternative. To reduce costs, consider dismantling the blade and ripper to fit within standard dimensions, which can significantly lower ocean freight surcharges. Ensure the supplier provides professional rust-proofing (wax coating) for sea transit.

Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts. Use Letters of Credit (L/C) for large sums or Escrow-based payment systems provided by reputable B2B platforms like Made-in-China.com. This ensures that the balance is only released after the supplier provides the Bill of Lading (B/L) and the pre-shipment inspection report is approved.
