Cheap lacoste fabric manufacturers

Lacoste fabric, technically known as Piqué fabric, is characterized by its geometric weave (usually diamond or honeycomb patterns). When sourcing 'cheap' versions, you must verify the GSM (Grams per Square Meter), typically ranging from 180 to 240 GSM. Ensure the material composition is clearly defined, whether it is 100% Cotton, CVC (Chief Value Cotton), or TC (Tetoron Cotton), as this directly impacts the price and breathability.

To maintain quality at a lower price point, prioritize suppliers who provide ISO 9001 certification and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 to ensure no harmful chemicals are used. Request a Colorfastness Test Report (Grade 4 or above) to prevent fading and a Shrinkage Test to ensure the rate is kept within ±3% to 5% after washing.

This fabric is the industry standard for Polo shirts, corporate uniforms, and school wear. Due to its breathable porous structure and durability, it is also widely used for sportswear and promotional apparel. For 'cheap' variants, it is often utilized in mass-market retail where cost-efficiency is prioritized over premium hand-feel.

Check for Anti-pilling treatment to prevent the surface from fuzzing after wear. Additionally, confirm the width of the fabric (usually 60/72 inches) to optimize your cutting markers and reduce wastage. For functional use, inquire if the supplier can add Moisture-wicking or UV-protection finishes at a marginal cost increase.

Always request a pre-production sample (PPS) before the bulk run. Use a third-party inspection service (like SGS or Intertek) to perform an AQL 2.5 inspection at the factory before the final payment. On Made-in-China.com, look for Audited Suppliers who have had their manufacturing capabilities verified by independent third parties.

Negotiate based on volume tiers; increasing your order to meet a full container load (FCL) can significantly reduce the unit price and shipping cost. Discuss payment terms such as a 30% deposit and 70% against the Bill of Lading (B/L) to balance cash flow and security. Mention long-term partnership potential to secure loyalty discounts.

Verify the HS Code (typically 6001 or 5205 series) to calculate accurate import duties in your country. Be aware of Anti-dumping duties that may apply to textiles from specific regions. For shipping, Sea Freight is the most economical for heavy fabric rolls, but ensure the supplier uses moisture-proof packaging (PE bags + woven bags) to prevent mildew during transit.

Utilize Secured Payment services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure your funds are only released once you confirm receipt of goods. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts. Ensure all specifications, including weight, color codes (Pantone), and delivery dates, are clearly written in the Proforma Invoice (PI) which serves as a legal contract.
