Chery auto parts manufacturers

When sourcing Chery parts, distinguish between Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Genuine, and Aftermarket parts. Genuine parts should come in official Chery packaging with anti-counterfeit labels and unique QR codes for tracking. For aftermarket components, ensure the supplier holds ISO/TS 16949 or IATF 16949 certifications, which are the global standards for automotive quality management systems. Always request material analysis reports and performance test data for critical components like engine valves or brake pads.

Compatibility is the highest risk in auto parts procurement. You must provide the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the supplier to cross-reference with the Electronic Parts Catalog (EPC). Pay close attention to Part Numbers, as even slight variations can indicate different engine displacements or model years (e.g., Tiggo 7 vs. Tiggo 8). For electronic components like ECUs or sensors, verify the software version and pin configuration to avoid installation failures.

Compliance varies by destination. For the European Union, parts must carry the E-mark (ECE R90 for brakes). For the United States, lighting and safety components must meet DOT/SAE standards. If exporting to Brazil, look for INMETRO certification, and for Russia/CIS countries, ensure EAC (GOST-R) compliance. Failure to provide these certificates can lead to customs seizures and legal liabilities in the target market.

To maximize ROI, focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Consolidate orders to reach Full Container Load (FCL) status, which significantly reduces the per-unit shipping cost compared to LCL. Negotiate tiered pricing based on annual volume rather than single orders. For high-wear items like filters, spark plugs, and brake pads, sourcing from Tier-1 suppliers who produce for Chery's assembly line can offer OEM quality at 20-40% lower costs than branded retail packaging.

The primary risks include shipping damage to fragile items (like windshields or body panels) and incorrect part matching. To mitigate this, require suppliers to use reinforced wooden crates for heavy items and vacuum packaging for metal parts to prevent rust during sea transit. Use Secure Payment services on platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released after the Bill of Lading (B/L) is verified and the pre-shipment inspection is passed.

Focus on Warranty Terms and Defective Rate Allowances. A professional supplier should offer a 12-month or 30,000km warranty. Negotiate a 1-2% spare parts allowance for high-volume orders to cover minor defects. Furthermore, ask for technical support documentation in English or your local language, which adds significant value for your downstream B2C customers or repair shops.

For urgent repair parts, use Air Freight or International Express (DHL/FedEx), but be aware of 'volumetric weight' charges for bulky items like bumpers. For stock replenishment, Sea Freight is the most economical. If you are located in Central Asia or Europe, the China-Europe Railway Express offers a 'middle ground' with faster delivery than sea and lower costs than air. Always ensure the supplier provides a detailed Packing List to expedite customs clearance.
