Crystal figurines manufacturers

Buyers should distinguish between K9 Crystal (Optical Glass) and Lead Crystal. K9 is the industry standard for B2B sourcing due to its high refractive index, exceptional clarity, and durability for laser engraving. If sourcing for luxury markets, ensure a lead content of 24% or higher for maximum sparkle, though you must verify regional toxicity compliance for leaded products.

The value is largely driven by the processing method. 3D Inner Laser Engraving is ideal for high-volume corporate gifts, while Hand-Polishing and Faceted Cutting are essential for decorative collectibles to ensure sharp light reflection. For complex shapes, inquire if the supplier uses Zinc Alloy casting for bases combined with crystal to ensure structural stability and premium weight.

For the US market, products must adhere to California Proposition 65 regarding lead and cadmium content. For the EU, REACH certification is critical. If the figurines include electronic components (like LED bases), they must carry CE, RoHS, or UL certifications to ensure electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility.

Request a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) focusing on bubbles, scratches, and inclusions, which are common defects in lower-grade glass. Use a light box test to check for internal fractures. Ensure the AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) is set to 1.0 or 1.5 for high-end decorative items to minimize the risk of receiving dull or chipped units.

Standard packaging is insufficient. Require custom-fitted EVA foam inserts within a premium gift box, which is then placed in a five-layer corrugated master carton. For LCL (Less than Container Load) shipments, insist on palletization with 'Fragile' and 'Do Not Stack' signage to prevent crushing during transit.

Focus on tooling costs and MOQ flexibility. Many suppliers offer lower unit prices if you use existing molds. If requesting custom designs, negotiate a mold fee refund policy once cumulative order volume reaches a specific threshold (e.g., 5,000 units). Always request a golden sample to be kept by both parties as a quality benchmark.

The primary risk is breakage during transit and quality inconsistency. Use Secured Trading services on Made-in-China.com to ensure payment is only released upon confirmation of receipt and quality. Define a clear refund/replacement ratio in the contract (e.g., 3% breakage allowance) to handle damages caused by inadequate inner packaging.

Check the HS Code (typically 7018.90 or 7013.91) for your specific country to calculate import duties. Be aware of Anti-Dumping duties that some regions apply to specific glassware categories. Utilizing FOB (Free On Board) terms is recommended for experienced buyers to maintain control over shipping costs and insurance coverage.
