Decoration wall clock manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize the movement type, as silent sweep movements (e.g., Sun brand or Young Town) are highly preferred over ticking ones for residential and office use. Ensure the housing material (ABS plastic, wrought iron, or solid wood) matches the target market's price point. For high-end markets, verify electroplating quality to prevent oxidation and HD glass clarity to ensure anti-fog and anti-reflective properties.

For the US market, ensure compliance with FCC Part 15 for electronic components and California Proposition 65 regarding lead and phthalate content in paints or plastics. For the EU, CE marking and RoHS certification are mandatory to prove the absence of hazardous substances. If the clock includes wooden elements, check for FSC certification to ensure sustainable sourcing and phytosanitary certificates if required by customs.

Conduct a 48-hour time accuracy test; a professional-grade clock should have a deviation of less than ±1 second per day. Perform a drop test from a height of 1 meter to check the structural integrity of the frame and glass. Additionally, verify the battery compartment tension to ensure stable power contact and check that the clock hands are perfectly balanced to avoid stalling at the 6 or 9 o'clock positions.

Most professional manufacturers on Made-in-China.com offer customized dial faces (logo printing), bespoke hand shapes, and color matching (Pantone) for the frame. For large-scale projects, inquire about modular packaging to reduce shipping volume or SKD (Semi-Knocked Down) shipping to save on import duties in specific regions.

The biggest risk is glass breakage and frame deformation. You must mandate 5-layer corrugated export cartons and form-fitting EPE foam or Styrofoam packaging. Request a ISTA 3A drop test report from the supplier. For sea freight, ensure desiccant packets are included in each unit to prevent moisture damage or mold on wooden frames and metal oxidation during long transit times.

Start by requesting a tiered pricing structure (e.g., 100, 500, 2000 units). While standard MOQs are often 100-500 units, you can negotiate a lower MOQ for trial orders by accepting the supplier's stock colors. Always clarify if the quoted price is FOB (Free On Board) or EXW, and ensure the price includes basic export packaging to avoid hidden costs later.

Use Secured Trading Services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure payment is only released after the goods are shipped. For large orders, implement a 30% deposit / 70% balance against BL (Bill of Lading) copy payment term. Never wire full payments to personal bank accounts; always verify that the beneficiary name matches the company name on the business license.

Hire a third-party inspection agency (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). The inspector should check the AQL (Acceptable Quality Level), focusing on surface scratches, paint consistency, and movement functionality. Ensure the inspector verifies the total carton count and shipping marks to prevent logistics errors at the destination port.
