Diamond mounted point manufacturers

Buyers must prioritize the Grit Size (ranging from coarse 60# for rapid removal to fine 600# for polishing) and the Bonding Type. Electroplated diamond points offer higher exposure of abrasive grains for aggressive cutting, while vacuum brazed options provide superior bond strength for heavy-duty applications. Additionally, ensure the shank diameter (typically 2.35mm, 3mm, or 6mm) matches your rotary tool's collet to prevent run-out and vibration.

Diamond mounted points are ideal for non-ferrous materials such as carbide, ceramics, glass, and stone. For processing hardened steel, CBN (Cubic Boron Nitride) points are often preferred. When sourcing, verify the diamond concentration; a higher concentration ensures longer tool life and consistent performance in high-precision tasks like mold grinding or internal carving.

Look for suppliers who adhere to ISO 9001 for quality management systems. For safety, ensure the products meet EN 13236 (Safety requirements for superabrasive products). It is essential to request a concentricity test report to ensure the point is perfectly centered on the shank, which prevents premature tool failure and ensures a smooth finish on the workpiece.

To maximize ROI, evaluate the Total Cost per Cut rather than just the unit price. High-quality diamond points from reputable manufacturers on Made-in-China.com may have a higher initial cost but offer 3-5 times the service life of budget alternatives. Negotiate tiered pricing for bulk orders (e.g., 500+ pieces) and consider customized sets to reduce waste of unused sizes.

The main risk is substandard diamond quality (synthetic vs. industrial grade) or poor bonding. Mitigate this by requesting pre-shipment samples and using third-party inspection services to verify the diamond grit density. Always use Secure Payment methods provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released upon confirmed receipt of goods.

Since diamond mounted points are small but dense, Air Express (DHL/FedEx/UPS) is often the most cost-effective for orders under 45kg due to speed and door-to-door convenience. For larger wholesale orders, LCL (Less than Container Load) sea freight is recommended. Ensure the supplier uses moisture-proof packaging and protective plastic tubes for each point to prevent rust and physical damage during transit.

Focus on technical transparency. Ask for the specific diamond grade (e.g., MBD series) used. Suppliers are more likely to offer competitive pricing to buyers who demonstrate technical expertise and the potential for long-term partnership. Inquire about OEM/Private Labeling early if you intend to build your own brand, as this is often included for free at certain volume thresholds.
