Explosion proof pressure switch manufacturers

When sourcing globally, you must ensure the products carry recognized explosion-proof certifications such as ATEX (Europe), IECEx (International), or UL/CSA (North America). For the Chinese market and many Belt and Road partners, CNEx or CCC Ex is mandatory. Always verify the Ex-marking (e.g., Ex d IIC T6 Gb) to ensure the protection level matches your specific hazardous zone (Zone 0, 1, or 2).

The choice of sensing element—typically diaphragm, bellows, or piston—depends on the process media. Use 316L Stainless Steel or Hastelloy for corrosive gases/liquids to prevent premature failure. For high-pressure hydraulic applications, piston-type switches are preferred due to their durability, whereas diaphragm types offer higher sensitivity for low-pressure gas monitoring.

You must specify the Adjustable Range and Deadband (Hysteresis). A fixed deadband is more economical, while an adjustable deadband provides greater control flexibility. Additionally, confirm the Electrical Rating (SPDT or DPDT) to ensure it can handle the load of your control circuit, and verify the Ingress Protection (IP66/67) rating for outdoor or wash-down environments.

Ensure the housing is made of copper-free aluminum or stainless steel to prevent sparks. The conduit entry size (e.g., 1/2" NPT or M20x1.5) must match your cabling system. It is vital to use explosion-proof cable glands or seals to maintain the integrity of the flameproof enclosure.

Request Material Test Reports (MTRs) and Certificate of Conformity (CoC) before shipment. For high-stakes industrial orders, utilize third-party inspection services (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a pre-shipment inspection. When sourcing via Made-in-China.com, prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone comprehensive on-site verification of their manufacturing capabilities.

Explosion-proof switches often require specialized calibration, which can extend lead times. Negotiate a penalty clause for late delivery in the contract. For shipping, ensure the supplier uses shock-resistant packaging and clearly labels the goods as 'Precision Instruments' to avoid damage during transit. For urgent projects, Air Freight is recommended to minimize exposure to port congestion.

Avoid direct wire transfers to unknown accounts. Use Secured Payment services provided by reputable B2B platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment. Always use Incoterms 2020 (such as FOB or CIF) to clearly define the point where risk transfers from the seller to the buyer.

Industrial switches require precise setting. Choose suppliers that provide English-language technical manuals and video installation guides. Confirm if they offer a warranty period of at least 12-24 months and check their responsiveness to technical queries, as downtime in hazardous environments can be extremely costly.
