Gas spring 60n price manufacturers

When purchasing a 60N (Newton) gas spring, the most critical factor is the force accuracy, which should have a tolerance within ±5% to ±10%. You must specify the stroke length (the distance the rod moves), the extended length (center-to-center distance when open), and the cylinder/rod diameters (commonly 15mm/6mm or 18mm/8mm for light loads). Ensure the rod is made of hard chrome-plated steel or stainless steel to prevent corrosion and ensure a smooth glide through the oil seal.

A 60N gas spring provides approximately 6kg of lifting force. This is ideal for lightweight applications such as kitchen cabinet doors, RV storage compartments, printer covers, and small toy boxes. For B2B buyers in the furniture industry, these are often referred to as 'soft-close' or 'stay-lift' struts. If the application involves heavy lids, a 60N spring will be insufficient, leading to failure in holding the door open.

To ensure safety and longevity, prioritize suppliers who comply with ISO 9001 for quality management. Specifically for gas springs, look for SGS durability test reports confirming the product can withstand at least 30,000 to 50,000 cycles without significant force loss. For international trade, ensure the product meets ROHS standards regarding hazardous substances, especially if the springs are used in medical or food-related furniture.

The price of a 60N gas spring is heavily influenced by the quality of the nitrogen gas used and the sealing system. Low-cost units often use inferior rubber seals that leak over time, causing the spring to lose pressure. High-quality, competitively priced units found on Made-in-China.com typically feature multi-lobe seals and high-pressure nitrogen, providing a more stable damping effect and a longer service life, which reduces the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by minimizing replacement rates.

The main risk is pressure leakage during transit or storage. Gas springs are classified as pressurized containers, so they must be handled carefully. Another risk is surface oxidation (rust) if the sea freight packaging is not moisture-proof. Always request VCI (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor) bags or specialized anti-rust oil coating for bulk shipments to ensure the products arrive in functional condition.

For a standard item like a 60N gas spring, MOQs typically range from 100 to 500 pieces. To get the best price, offer a long-term forecast rather than a one-off purchase. Suppliers on Made-in-China.com are often willing to provide a 5-10% discount if you standardize your end-fittings (e.g., ball joints or eyelets) across your entire order, as this reduces their assembly complexity.

Gas springs contain compressed nitrogen, which may be classified as Class 9 Dangerous Goods depending on the pressure level and volume. However, most small 60N springs fall under special provisions (like SP283) that allow them to be shipped as non-hazardous if they meet specific safety design criteria. You must confirm that the supplier provides a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and a Certificate for Safe Transport of Goods to avoid customs delays.

Utilize the Secured Trading Service offered by Made-in-China.com to protect your payment. Do not release the full payment until a pre-shipment inspection is conducted. For gas springs, this inspection should include a force gauge test on a random sample (e.g., AQL 2.5) to verify that the 60N rating is consistent across the batch.
