Glass cartridges manufacturers

For high-viscosity oils, the aperture size (intake hole) is critical; typically, 2.0mm holes are standard for thick oils to ensure proper flow. You must prioritize borosilicate glass for the housing due to its superior thermal resistance and chemical stability. Additionally, the heating element technology—specifically ceramic coils—is preferred over cotton wicks to prevent burnt tastes and ensure even heat distribution.

Compliance is non-negotiable in this category. Ensure the supplier provides Heavy Metal Test Reports (specifically for Lead, Arsenic, Cadmium, and Mercury) to meet FDA or EU food-grade standards. Products should also carry CE and RoHS certifications for the electronic components. For the North American market, verifying Phase 3 Heavy Metals Compliance is essential to pass stringent state-level laboratory testing.

Request a Failure Analysis Report from the manufacturer. Top-tier suppliers maintain a failure rate below 0.3%. You should ask about their sealing technology, such as silicone triple-seal designs, and whether they perform vacuum pressure tests to simulate high-altitude shipping, which is a common cause of leakage in glass cartridges.

A professional supplier should offer laser engraving or silk-screen printing for branding on the glass or metal base. Beyond aesthetics, look for custom intake hole configurations and tank capacities (0.5ml, 1.0ml, or 2.0ml). Ensure the supplier can provide custom packaging that meets child-resistant (CR) requirements if your target market mandates it.

The biggest risks are heavy metal contamination and fragility during transit. Mitigate these by using Third-Party Inspection services (like V-Trust or SGS) to conduct pre-shipment testing. For logistics, insist on double-walled corrugated boxes with EPE foam inserts specifically molded for cartridges to prevent breakage during sea or air freight.

Start by requesting a tiered pricing structure; for glass cartridges, price breaks usually occur at 1,000, 5,000, and 10,000 units. If you are a new buyer, negotiate a sample order (50-100 units) at the bulk price rate, with the agreement that the sample cost will be deducted from the first mass production order. Always confirm if the quoted price is FOB (Free On Board) to avoid hidden port charges.

Always utilize Secured Trading Services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure your payment is held in escrow until shipping documents are verified. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts. For large orders, a 30% deposit and 70% balance payment against the Bill of Lading (B/L) is the industry standard for protecting buyer liquidity.

Glass cartridges are often classified under HS Code 7020.00 (Other articles of glass) or specific electronic categories depending on the assembly. Be aware of Anti-Dumping Duties or specific excise taxes in countries like the US (under Section 301 tariffs). Work with a freight forwarder experienced in vape-related hardware to ensure correct classification and to avoid customs seizures.
