Gun cleaning kits manufacturers

A comprehensive kit should feature multi-section or flexible cleaning rods (preferably made of brass or coated steel to prevent bore damage), a variety of phosphor bronze brushes tailored to specific calibers, cotton swabs/mops, and slotted tips or jags for patches. High-quality kits also include utility brushes (nylon and brass) for action cleaning and precision oil needles for targeted lubrication.

B2B buyers should prioritize brass or carbon fiber rods because they are softer than barrel steel, ensuring the rifling is not damaged during repeated passes. Avoid low-grade aluminum rods that can flake or bend easily. For long-range precision rifles, one-piece coated rods are preferred to prevent joint friction within the bore.

If the kit includes liquids, they must comply with GHS (Globally Harmonized System) for labeling and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) must be provided. For the US market, ensure solvents are VOC-compliant, and for the EU, verify REACH regulation adherence to ensure no restricted hazardous substances are present in the lubricants.

The case should be constructed from heavy-duty nylon (600D or higher) or impact-resistant ABS plastic. For professional use, look for molded internal compartments that keep components organized during transit, preventing rattling and damage. Reinforced zippers and water-resistant coatings are essential for kits intended for outdoor or military applications.

Generally, cleaning kits are classified as accessories (HS Code 9305) and are not restricted like actual firearms. However, you must ensure the kit does not contain restricted components like silencer parts or tactical modifications. Always declare them as 'Maintenance Tools' to streamline customs clearance.

Solvents and oils are often flagged as Dangerous Goods (DG) due to flammability. This can significantly increase shipping costs and require specialized DG packaging. To mitigate this, many buyers source the hardware (rods/brushes) from China and procure the liquids locally, or ensure the supplier has UN-certified packaging for liquid export.

Look for 'Audited Suppliers' who have undergone on-site inspections by third-party agencies like SGS or TÜV Rheinland. Check their Business License and Export Records to confirm experience in the sporting goods or hardware sector. Requesting a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) is a critical strategy to ensure the caliber sizes in the kit match your specifications exactly.

Focus on MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) thresholds; suppliers often offer a 15-20% price reduction when moving from 500 to 2,000 units. Additionally, negotiate for custom branding (OEM) on the case and rods, which adds significant retail value at a low marginal cost. Request a 'Golden Sample' before mass production to lock in the quality standard.
