When evaluating hiking boots, focus on the upper material, midsole construction, and outsole grip. For the upper, Full-grain leather offers maximum durability and water resistance, while synthetic nylon/mesh provides better breathability and lower weight. The midsole should ideally be made of Polyurethane (PU) for long-term firm support or EVA for lightweight cushioning. Most importantly, ensure the outsole features Vibram® or equivalent high-traction rubber with deep lugs (4-5mm) for multi-terrain stability.
