Imidacloprid wdg manufacturers

Buyers should focus on the active ingredient concentration (commonly 70% or 75% WDG). Key performance metrics include disintegration time (should be <60 seconds), suspensibility rate (ideally >80%), and wet sieve test results (typically <2% residue on a 75μm sieve). Ensure the granules are dust-free and free-flowing to prevent clogging in spray equipment and reduce inhalation risks for end-users.

Suppliers must provide a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch. For international trade, products should ideally meet FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization) specifications. Ensure the manufacturer holds ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) certifications. Furthermore, the product must be registered with the Ministry of Agriculture in the destination country, and the supplier should provide a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) compliant with GHS (Globally Harmonized System).

WDG (Water Dispersible Granules) is often more cost-effective for long-distance shipping because it is highly concentrated and lacks the weight of liquid solvents found in SL (Soluble Liquid). It offers better storage stability and a longer shelf life (typically 2 years) compared to WP (Wettable Powder), which can clump. While the unit price per kg may be higher, the reduced application rate and lower logistics costs provide a better ROI for large-scale agricultural distributors.

It is primarily used for controlling sucking insects like aphids, whiteflies, and thrips in crops such as rice, cotton, and vegetables. Due to its systemic nature, it is highly effective. However, buyers must note its toxicity to bees and pollinators; sourcing guidance should include labels that specify application timing (avoiding flowering periods) to meet environmental regulations in markets like the EU or North America.

Imidacloprid is often classified under UN Class 9 (Environmentally Hazardous Substance) for transport. You must ensure the supplier uses UN-approved packaging (e.g., fluorinated bottles or high-density polyethylene bags) to prevent leakage. For sea freight, verify that the supplier provides a DGD (Dangerous Goods Declaration) and a Safe Transport of Chemical Goods Certificate to avoid customs seizures or port delays.

Utilize Trade Assurance or Escrow services provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until the goods are verified. It is highly recommended to hire a third-party inspection agency (like SGS or Intertek) to perform pre-shipment sampling and lab testing to confirm the active ingredient percentage matches the contract.

Agrochemical prices are heavily influenced by raw material costs (e.g., 2-chloro-5-chloromethylpyridine) and seasonal demand. Negotiate based on volume tiers; for example, ordering in full container loads (FCL) can reduce prices by 10-15%. Additionally, consider long-term supply contracts with a price-adjustment clause linked to raw material indices to ensure price stability during peak farming seasons.

Many countries require an Import Permit for Pesticides. Before shipping, confirm that the supplier's labeling complies with the destination country's language and regulatory requirements (e.g., EPA in the US, REACH in the EU). Failure to align with local pesticide registration laws can lead to the destruction of the cargo at the border at the buyer's expense.
