Insecticide carbaryl manufacturers

Carbaryl is a wide-spectrum carbamate insecticide. You must specify the purity level (Technical Grade is usually ≥99%) or the specific formulation required, such as Wettable Powder (WP), Suspension Concentrate (SC), or Dustable Powder (DP). For agricultural use, 85% WP and 50% WP are the most common global standards. Ensure the particle size and suspensibility meet FAO specifications to prevent clogging in spray equipment.

As a chemical pesticide, Carbaryl must comply with FAO/WHO specifications. Suppliers should provide a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch and a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS/SDS) compliant with GHS standards. For EU markets, check for REACH registration, and for the US, ensure EPA registration status. Always verify the ICAMA (Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture) export certificate if sourcing from Chinese manufacturers.

Request third-party pre-shipment inspections (PSI) from agencies like SGS or BV to test for active ingredient content and moisture levels. It is critical to verify the stability of the formulation under accelerated storage conditions (54°C for 14 days) to ensure the product remains effective after long-term sea transit. Sample testing in a local lab is highly recommended before finalizing large-scale contracts.

Buyers must be aware that Carbaryl is highly toxic to bees and aquatic invertebrates. Sourcing documentation should include clear usage instructions and toxicity classifications. Ensure the packaging is UN-certified for hazardous goods to prevent leakage, and prioritize suppliers who offer low-odor or dust-free formulations to improve worker safety during application.

Carbaryl is classified under UN Number 2757 (Carbamate pesticides, solid, toxic). It must be shipped as Dangerous Goods (DG). You must ensure the supplier provides a Dangerous Goods Declaration and uses IMDG-compliant packaging. Shipping costs will be higher than general cargo, and you should confirm that your chosen port of entry is authorized to handle Class 6.1 toxic substances.

Use secure payment methods such as Letters of Credit (L/C) or trade assurance services provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com. Avoid full upfront payments; a standard 30% deposit and 70% against the Bill of Lading (B/L) is common. Ensure the contract includes a quality claim clause that allows for recourse if the active ingredient content falls below the specified percentage upon arrival.

Focus on volume-based pricing tiers; chemical manufacturing costs drop significantly at higher scales (e.g., 5-10 ton increments). Negotiate for customized packaging (e.g., 1kg foil bags vs. 25kg drums) to reduce local repacking costs. Ask for long-term price stability agreements, as raw material costs for carbamates can fluctuate with global petroleum and methyl isocyanate prices.

Check for anti-dumping duties or specific import quotas in your country for Chinese-origin agrochemicals. Verify the HS Code (typically 3808.91) to determine the exact tariff rate. Ensure the supplier provides a Certificate of Origin (Form E or Form F) if your country has a Free Trade Agreement with China to benefit from reduced or zero import duties.
