Jet flame torch lighter manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize windproof performance and flame stability. Key specs include piezoelectric ignition systems (rated for 10,000+ clicks), adjustable flame control valves, and refillable butane tanks with visible fuel windows. For industrial or culinary use, ensure the nozzle is made of high-temperature resistant ceramic or zinc alloy to prevent melting during prolonged use.

Compliance is critical due to the hazardous nature of the product. Ensure suppliers meet ISO 9994 (Lighters—Safety Specification) and EN 13869 (Child-resistance for lighters). For the US market, CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) certification is mandatory. Additionally, verify that the fuel tank pressure resistance meets international safety benchmarks to prevent explosions during transport.

Request a salt spray test report for metal components to ensure corrosion resistance. The outer casing should be made of impact-resistant ABS plastic or heavy-duty metal alloys. Check for leak-proof seals at the refill valve. A high-quality lighter should maintain a consistent blue flame without flickering or sputtering, even at different angles (360-degree use).

Most professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com offer laser engraving or silk-screen printing for logos. You can also request custom Pantone colors for the body and bespoke gift box packaging. For high-volume orders, buyers can customize the nozzle shape (single, double, or triple jet) to suit specific market needs like cigar lighting or soldering.

Lighters are classified as Class 2.1 Flammable Gas (UN1057). Most cross-border shipments are sent 'empty' (without butane) to simplify logistics and reduce costs. If shipping pre-filled, you must use a licensed dangerous goods (DG) forwarder and provide a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and a Dangerous Goods Declaration. Shipping empty is highly recommended for standard air and sea freight.

Utilize the Secured Trading Service on Made-in-China.com to ensure payment is only released after you confirm receipt of goods. Always request a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) by a third party like SGS or Intertek to verify that the ignition rate and safety lock mechanisms function correctly across the entire batch.

Avoid focusing solely on the lowest unit price. Low-cost lighters often use inferior plastic tanks that crack under pressure or cheap ignition wires that fail after a few uses. Negotiate for a defect rate guarantee (typically <1%) and insist on a 12-month quality warranty. Clarify the Incoterms (e.g., FOB vs. DDP) early to avoid hidden fuel surcharges or hazardous material handling fees.

Be aware of Anti-Dumping Duties (ADD) that some regions (like the EU or USA) may impose on lighters originating from specific countries. Check your local Harmonized System (HS) Code (typically 961320) for applicable tariff rates. Ensure the supplier provides a Certificate of Origin to help you benefit from any existing Free Trade Agreements (FTAs).
