Liquid detergent fragrance manufacturers

When sourcing fragrance oils for liquid detergents, the most critical factor is chemical stability in high pH environments. You must ensure the fragrance is alkali-resistant so the scent does not degrade or change notes when mixed with surfactants. Additionally, verify the flash point (ideally >100°C for safety during manufacturing) and solubility, ensuring the oil integrates perfectly without causing the detergent to become cloudy or undergo phase separation.

Professional B2B buyers must demand an IFRA (International Fragrance Association) Certificate of Conformity, which ensures the ingredients are safe for consumer use. Furthermore, request a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and COA (Certificate of Analysis) for every batch. For products targeting the EU or US markets, ensure the supplier provides a list of 26 regulated allergens to comply with labeling laws and REACH regulations.

Quality is measured by scent longevity and substantivity. A high-tier fragrance should exhibit a strong 'top note' in the bottle, a 'heart note' during the washing process, and a long-lasting base note on dry fabric. Ask suppliers for laundry application test results, specifically focusing on the fragrance's ability to withstand high-temperature washes and its compatibility with fabric softeners or bleach if applicable.

Yes, most top-tier manufacturers on Made-in-China.com offer OEM/ODM services including Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis to replicate existing scents or create unique signature blends. When requesting customization, specify the target dosage (usually 0.1% to 0.5%) to ensure the scent profile remains balanced at your specific concentration levels.

The main risks involve leakage during transit and customs seizure due to improper classification. Ensure the supplier uses UN-approved fluorinated bottles or epoxy-lined steel drums to prevent chemical reactions with the packaging. For customs, the product must be correctly classified under HS Code 3302.90 (Mixtures of odoriferous substances) and accompanied by a Non-Hazardous Cargo Declaration if the flash point allows.

Fragrance costs are tied to raw material harvests. Negotiate a fixed-price contract for 6-12 months to avoid market volatility. To ensure consistency, include a clause stating that mass production must match the 'Golden Sample' approved during the R&D phase. Use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to hold payment until a third-party lab verifies the refractive index and specific gravity of the bulk shipment.

Since fragrances are concentrated liquids, they are often flagged as sensitive cargo. Always choose freight forwarders experienced in DG (Dangerous Goods) handling, even if the product is non-flammable, to avoid delays. For shipping to the US or Europe, ensure the DGM (Dangerous Goods Management) report is updated annually to reflect current air and sea freight safety standards.
