Lollipop toy candy manufacturers

Since this product combines food and toys, it must meet dual compliance standards. For the food component, suppliers must provide FDA (US), EFSA (EU), or HACCP/ISO 22000 certifications to ensure ingredients and additives are safe for consumption. For the toy component, it is critical to verify compliance with EN71 (Europe) or ASTM F963 (USA), specifically focusing on small parts testing to prevent choking hazards and BPA-free/non-toxic plastic certifications for the toy casing.

Buyers should request a durability test report for the mechanical parts (e.g., spring-loaded mechanisms or rotating parts). Ensure the toy can withstand at least 500-1,000 cycles of operation without failure. Additionally, check for smooth edges and burr-free plastic molding to prevent skin abrasions, and confirm that the battery compartment (if applicable) is secured with screws to meet international child safety regulations.

Standard lollipop candies typically have a shelf life of 18 to 24 months. Buyers should ensure the packaging uses moisture-proof sealing (such as BOPP or aluminum foil) to prevent stickiness or melting during maritime transit. It is recommended to specify cool and dry storage conditions (temperature <25°C, humidity <50%) in the contract to maintain product integrity during long-distance shipping.

Most professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com offer extensive customization. This includes customized candy flavors/colors, logo printing on the toy body, and bespoke blister card or display box packaging. For OEM orders, ensure the MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) is clearly defined, usually ranging from 5,000 to 10,000 units for custom designs.

Always request a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) by a third-party agency like SGS or Intertek. Specifically, ask for a random lab test of the candy batch to check for heavy metals, unauthorized artificial colors, and microbial levels. Ensure the supplier provides a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every shipment to guarantee the batch matches the approved sample.

Focus on tiered pricing based on volume; for example, ask for a 5-10% discount when moving from a trial order to a full container load (FCL). Negotiate for spare parts (1-2% extra toy casings) to cover potential damages during retail. Use the Secured Trading Service on the platform to ensure your payment is only released after the goods pass quality inspection.

Request the use of desiccants (silica gel packets) inside the master cartons to control humidity. For shipments passing through tropical zones, consider reefer containers (refrigerated) if the candy has a low melting point. Ensure the outer cartons are double-walled corrugated fiberboard to prevent the toy components from being crushed under the weight of stacked pallets.

Before placing a large order, verify that the toy design does not infringe on existing patents or trademarks (e.g., famous cartoon characters). Ask the supplier for an IP Indemnification Clause in the sales contract, stating that the supplier assumes all legal responsibility if the product design violates third-party intellectual property rights.
