Mall shopping trolley manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize load capacity (typically ranging from 60kg to 150kg) and volume (measured in liters, e.g., 60L, 100L, 125L, 180L). The frame material is critical; look for high-tensile steel with a zinc-plated or chrome finish plus a transparent powder coating to prevent corrosion and rust. Additionally, ensure the casters are made of TPU or high-grade rubber with ball bearings to ensure smooth, noise-free movement and 360-degree rotation.

For the European market, ensure the trolleys comply with EN 1929-1:1998, which specifies safety requirements and test methods. For global quality assurance, suppliers should hold ISO 9001 certification. If the trolley includes plastic components (like handles or baby seats), verify they are BPA-free and meet REACH or RoHS standards to ensure no hazardous chemicals are present.

Check for anti-static chains to prevent electric shocks and corner protectors (plastic bumpers) to minimize damage to store fixtures. The baby seat must include a safety belt and meet weight-bearing safety standards. Request salt spray test reports (ideally >48 hours) to verify the longevity of the surface treatment against humidity and cleaning agents.

Professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com offer OEM/ODM services, including custom logo printing on the handle, color-matching plastic parts to your brand identity, and the addition of coin locks to prevent trolley theft. You can also request specialized designs like escalator-compatible wheels or flatbed trolleys for warehouse-style shopping.

The main risks include shipping damage (deformation) and high freight costs due to the bulky nature of the product. To mitigate this, choose nestable designs that maximize container space. Ensure the supplier uses bubble wrap or corrugated cardboard for protection. Always use Trade Resources or Secure Payment services on Made-in-China.com to protect your funds until the goods pass inspection.

Focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). While the unit price is important, negotiate for spare parts (like extra wheels and plastic corners) to be included at no cost. For large orders (e.g., >500 units), aim for a 15-20% discount compared to sample pricing. If you are a first-time buyer, negotiate a lower MOQ for a trial order to verify quality before committing to a full container.

Due to the weight and volume, Sea Freight (FCL - Full Container Load) is the most economical method. For smaller batches, LCL (Less than Container Load) is possible but may increase the risk of scratches. Ensure the Incoterms are clearly defined; FOB (Free on Board) is recommended for buyers who have their own freight forwarders, while CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) is better for those who want the supplier to handle logistics to the destination port.

Always request a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) by a third-party agency like SGS or Intertek. Verify the supplier's Business License and Export Qualifications on Made-in-China.com. Use Escrow-based payment terms where possible, and never wire full payments to personal bank accounts; always use the official corporate account verified by the platform.
