Metal briquetting machine manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize the nominal pressure (tonnage), which typically ranges from 100 to 1000 tons depending on the material density required. Key components include the hydraulic system stability, bale size dimensions, and cycle time. For high-volume operations, ensure the machine features a PLC automatic control system (such as Siemens or Mitsubishi) to minimize manual labor and ensure consistent density.

Metal briquetting machines are designed for steel shavings, cast iron borings, aluminum scraps, and copper chips. It is crucial to verify the density of the finished briquette; high-quality machines should achieve a density of ≥5.0g/cm³ for steel to ensure they do not break during transport or melting. Always confirm if the machine requires a pre-shredder if your scrap metal exceeds the feeding chamber dimensions.

Ensure the supplier provides CE certification for the European market or UL components for North America. The machine must be equipped with emergency stop buttons, safety interlocks on access doors, and overload protection valves within the hydraulic system. Requesting an ISO 9001:2015 certification from the manufacturer is a baseline requirement for quality management verification.

Calculate the value difference between loose scrap and compressed briquettes; briquettes often fetch a 15-25% higher price at smelters due to reduced oxidation and easier handling. Factor in energy consumption (kW/h) and maintenance costs (such as hydraulic oil changes and wear-plate replacements). A high-efficiency machine should offer a payback period of 12 to 18 months in active recycling facilities.

Utilize Secure Payment services provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment. Always conduct a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) via third-party agencies like SGS or Bureau Veritas to verify the machine's operational status and specification alignment before it leaves the factory.

Due to the extreme weight, these machines should be shipped via Flat Rack or Open Top containers if they exceed standard dimensions. Ensure the supplier uses anti-rust oil coating and vacuum plastic packaging for the hydraulic cylinders to prevent sea-salt corrosion. For installation, negotiate for remote video installation guidance or the dispatch of a technical engineer for on-site commissioning, especially for large-scale hydraulic systems.

Focus negotiations on the warranty period for core components (pumps, valves, and PLC) rather than just the unit price; aim for a minimum of 12-24 months. Request a wearing parts kit (seals, filters, and sensors) to be included in the initial purchase to prevent downtime. Confirm the availability of local after-sales service partners or a guaranteed 24-hour technical response time.
