Nissan k21 engine manufacturers

The Nissan K21 is a 2.1-liter inline-4 engine widely used in forklifts (like TCM, Komatsu, and Nissan). You must verify the fuel type (LPG, Gasoline, or Dual-fuel), as the carburetor and manifold configurations differ. Ensure the rated power is approximately 31-37 kW at 2400-3000 RPM. Crucially, confirm the flywheel housing size and crankshaft pulley configuration to ensure it matches your specific machinery's transmission.

A Brand New (OEM or Aftermarket) engine should have a clean casting without paint overspray on gaskets and a zero-hour meter reading. Remanufactured engines should come with a detailed report of replaced parts (e.g., new pistons, rings, and bearings) and a pressure test certificate. Avoid 'used' engines unless they provide a compression test video showing at least 1.1-1.2 MPa across all cylinders.

For the US market, the engine must meet EPA Tier 2 or Tier 4 standards depending on the year of the machine. For the EU, Stage V compliance is increasingly necessary. Ensure the supplier provides ISO 9001 certification for the manufacturing facility and a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) to prevent customs seizures during import.

The K21 is known for its aluminum alloy cylinder head, which is sensitive to overheating. Ensure the engine includes a high-efficiency water pump and verify the oil pump flow rate. For B2B buyers, it is recommended to source engines that have undergone a hot-run test for at least 30 minutes to check for leaks and oil pressure stability.

Engines are heavy-duty items (approx. 140-160kg). They must be shipped in fumigated solid wood crates or ISPM-15 compliant plywood boxes to clear international customs. Ensure the engine is drained of all fluids (oil and coolant) before shipping to comply with International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) regulations, otherwise, it will be rejected by the carrier.

Focus on Warranty Terms and Spare Parts Kits. Instead of just pushing for a lower unit price, negotiate for a 12-month or 2000-hour warranty and ask for a 'wear-parts bundle' (filters, spark plugs, and gaskets) to be included. For orders exceeding 5 units, aim for a 5-10% volume discount or FOB port delivery included in the price.

Always use Secured Payment services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released after the Bill of Lading (B/L) is uploaded. For large orders, hire a third-party inspection agency (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) to verify the engine serial numbers and condition before the final balance is paid.

The biggest risk is counterfeit casting marks where a lower-grade engine is branded as a Nissan K21. To mitigate this, request a video of the engine's data plate and the stamped serial number on the block. Cross-reference these with the supplier's authorized distributor certificate or factory manufacturing license to ensure authenticity.
