Parts for byd manufacturers

When sourcing parts for BYD models like the Han, Tang, or Atto 3, you must prioritize OEM compatibility and technical synchronization. For high-voltage components (batteries, motors, and controllers), ensure the part numbers match the specific vehicle VIN to avoid software handshake failures. For mechanical parts, verify the material grade (e.g., high-strength steel for suspension arms) and dimensional precision to ensure they meet the original factory tolerances.

Compliance varies by the destination market. For the European market, parts must carry the E-mark (ECE R100 for battery safety or ECE R90 for brake components). For the North American market, DOT/SAE certification is essential for lighting and glass. Additionally, ensure the supplier adheres to IATF 16949:2016, which is the global quality management standard specifically for the automotive industry.

Genuine parts come in BYD-branded packaging and are identical to those installed during assembly. OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts are produced by the same companies that supply BYD (such as Bosch or BYD's subsidiary FinDreams) but may be sold under their own brand. Aftermarket parts are third-party alternatives; while more cost-effective, you must verify they have passed rigorous durability testing and offer a warranty of at least 12-24 months.

The Blade Battery (LFP) is a proprietary BYD technology. If sourcing modules or cells, you must verify the State of Health (SOH) and cycle life data. Ensure the supplier provides a UN38.3 test report and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet), which are legally required for the international transport of lithium batteries. Only work with suppliers who use specialized hazardous goods packaging to prevent thermal runaway during transit.

Automotive parts, especially large body panels or lithium batteries, require specialized logistics. Use sea freight for bulk orders to minimize costs, but ensure the use of anti-rust packaging and moisture-proof barriers. For batteries, you must use Class 9 Hazardous Materials shipping channels. Always confirm that the supplier provides a Certificate of Origin to help you leverage Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and reduce import duties.

Start by requesting a factory audit report or a video walkthrough of their production line. Negotiate based on volume tiers; for example, a 500-unit order for brake pads should yield a 15-20% discount compared to sample pricing. Demand a 'Defective Rate Guarantee'—top-tier suppliers should guarantee a defect rate of less than 0.3% and agree to replace faulty units at their own shipping expense.

Always use Secured Payment services provided by professional platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released after you confirm receipt of goods. For large-scale wholesale, consider using a Letter of Credit (L/C) or a 30% deposit / 70% balance payment structure after a successful third-party pre-shipment inspection (PSI) by agencies like SGS or TUV.

Automotive electronics often require firmware updates or coding. Prioritize suppliers who offer remote technical support and provide installation manuals or video guides. Ensure the contract includes a clear claims process for shipping damages, requiring photographic evidence within 7 days of arrival to trigger a refund or replacement.
