Pokemon playing cards manufacturers

When sourcing Pokemon playing cards, prioritize paper weight and core material. Professional-grade cards typically use 300gsm to 350gsm black-core or blue-core paper, which provides the necessary opacity, snap, and durability to prevent bending. Additionally, look for surface finishes like UV coating or linen texture to ensure smooth shuffling and protection against moisture.

High-quality cards require CMYK + Pantone printing to achieve vibrant, accurate colors. Pay close attention to registration (alignment); the borders should be perfectly centered with a variance of less than 0.5mm. Request high-resolution digital proofs and physical samples to verify that the holographic or foil effects (if applicable) are crisp and do not peel at the edges.

Since these are often classified as toys or collectibles, they must meet strict safety standards. Ensure the supplier provides EN71 (Europe) or ASTM F963 (USA) certifications, which guarantee the materials are non-toxic and lead-free. For the US market, CPC (Children's Product Certificate) is essential for customs clearance.

Yes, most professional manufacturers on Made-in-China.com offer OEM/ODM services. You should provide files in AI or PDF format with at least 300 DPI. Ensure you discuss bleed zones (usually 3mm) to avoid cutting off critical artwork during the die-cutting process.

This is the highest risk factor. Unless you hold a valid license, importing trademarked Pokemon designs can lead to customs seizure and legal action. If you are creating 'tribute' or custom TCG cards, ensure the artwork is original and does not use protected logos or character names. Always ask the supplier for authorization letters if they claim to have licensing rights.

Use Secured Trading Services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until delivery. Always hire a third-party inspection service (like V-Trust or QIMA) to perform a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). They will check for color consistency, quantity accuracy, and packaging integrity before the balance is paid.

Playing cards are heavy and dense. For orders under 100kg, Air Express (DHL/FedEx) is fast but expensive. For bulk orders, Sea Freight (LCL) is the most cost-effective. Ensure the supplier uses double-walled corrugated export cartons and plastic pallet wrapping to prevent humidity damage during long-distance ocean transit.

Focus on volume-based pricing tiers. Manufacturers often have high setup costs for printing plates; therefore, increasing your order from 1,000 to 5,000 decks can often reduce the unit price by 20-40%. Negotiate for free samples of future designs as part of a long-term partnership agreement.
