Polyfill fabric manufacturers

When evaluating Polyfill (polyester fiberfill) fabric, you must focus on GSM (Grams per Square Meter), which determines the thickness and insulation level. For apparel, 60-150 GSM is standard, while bedding or upholstery may require 200-500 GSM. Additionally, verify the denier (D) of the fibers; fine denier (1.5D - 3D) provides a down-like soft feel, while coarse denier (6D - 15D) offers better resilience and loft. Ensure the fabric uses siliconized fibers if a smooth, non-clumping texture is required.

To ensure market access and consumer safety, prioritize suppliers with OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification, which guarantees the fabric is free from harmful chemicals. For the US market, compliance with CFR 1610 (Flammability of Clothing Textiles) is mandatory. If you are targeting eco-conscious consumers, look for the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certification to verify the use of rPET (recycled polyester) fibers.

Request a compression recovery test report to see how well the material regains its shape after being vacuum-packed or sat upon. You should also ask for thermal resistance (CLO value) data if the fabric is intended for winter outerwear. For bonded polyfill, check the peel strength to ensure the batting does not separate from the outer fabric layer after multiple industrial wash cycles.

Thermal Bonded Polyfill is ideal for high-end outerwear and sleeping bags due to its uniform thickness. Spray-Bonded Polyfill is cost-effective for furniture padding and budget quilts. Loose Fiberfill is best suited for stuffing pillows, plush toys, and cushions where adjustability is needed. Always match the bonding method to your specific end-use to balance breathability and heat retention.

Polyfill is a high-volume, low-weight product, meaning you often pay for 'dim weight.' To optimize costs, require the supplier to use vacuum compression packaging. This can reduce the cargo volume by up to 60-70%. However, ensure the contract specifies that the material must fully recover its loft within 24-48 hours after unpacking.

The most common risk is 'fiber migration' or 'clumping' after washing. To mitigate this, use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services and insist on a pre-shipment inspection (PSI). The inspector should verify the weight consistency across different rolls and perform a wash test on a random sample to check for shrinkage or structural breakdown.

Pricing is heavily influenced by the raw polyester chip market. Negotiate a formula-based pricing model if you are placing long-term recurring orders. For one-off bulk buys, aim for a 10-15% discount when exceeding a Full Container Load (FCL), as this reduces the supplier's handling and domestic logistics overhead.

Always verify the supplier's Business License and Export Qualification on the platform. Use Escrow-based payment terms where funds are only released upon the presentation of a Clean Bill of Lading. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts; always use the official corporate bank account verified by Made-in-China.com.
