Porcelain painting manufacturers

When evaluating porcelain paintings, focus on the firing temperature, which should ideally be between 1200°C and 1350°C to ensure the glaze and pigments are fully vitrified. Check the glaze type (overglaze vs. underglaze); underglaze is generally more durable and food-safe as the pattern is protected by the transparent glaze. Additionally, verify the base material quality, looking for high-white kaolin clay which provides a translucent and crisp background for the artwork.

To guarantee longevity, request products that have undergone acid and alkali resistance testing. High-quality porcelain paintings should use mineral-based pigments that do not fade under UV exposure. For commercial or outdoor applications, ensure the supplier provides a weather-resistance certification. The surface hardness should ideally reach Mohs scale 6-7 to prevent scratches during cleaning or handling.

Compliance is critical, especially regarding heavy metals. Ensure the products meet FDA (US) or EC 1935/2004 (EU) standards for lead and cadmium leaching, even if the item is intended for decorative use. For large-scale wall-mounted porcelain art, verify compliance with ASTM or EN standards for structural safety and mounting hardware load-bearing capacity to prevent detachment risks.

A top-tier supplier should support OEM/ODM services, including kiln-fired decal application for precise logo reproduction or hand-painted bespoke designs for high-end collections. They should be able to provide CAD or 3D mockups for large-scale installations and offer a variety of finishing textures, such as matte, glossy, or embossed (raised) effects to meet specific interior design requirements.

Porcelain is highly fragile; therefore, you must mandate 5-layer corrugated export cartons with custom-fitted EPE foam or molded pulp inserts. For bulk shipments, insist on palletization with plastic wrap and corner protectors. It is highly recommended to include Impact Indicator stickers (e.g., ShockWatch) on the outer packaging to monitor handling during the logistics chain.

Focus on Tiered Pricing based on volume, but also negotiate on the sample fee offset (where the sample cost is deducted from the first bulk order). Discuss Quality Acceptance Criteria (AQL 2.5/4.0) upfront to ensure the supplier understands your tolerance for minor glaze defects. For long-term partnerships, negotiate a 2-5% breakage allowance or spare units included in the shipment to cover potential transit damage.

Always utilize Secured Payment services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment. For high-value custom orders, consider a 30% deposit and 70% balance payment after a third-party pre-shipment inspection (PSI). This ensures the artistic quality and quantity match the Proforma Invoice before the goods leave the factory.

Check the HS Code (typically 6913.10 for porcelain statuettes/ornaments) against your country's tariff schedule. Be aware of anti-dumping duties that some regions (like the EU) may impose on Chinese ceramic products. To ensure smooth customs clearance, verify that the supplier provides a detailed Packing List, Commercial Invoice, and Certificate of Origin to take advantage of any applicable trade agreements.
