Private label gel polish manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize HEMA-free and TPO-free formulas to minimize allergic reactions and comply with modern safety standards. The viscosity should be medium-level to ensure self-leveling without running into cuticles. Additionally, verify the pigment density; high-quality gel polish should achieve full opacity in two thin coats. Ensure the product is compatible with both UV and LED lamps, with a curing time of 30-60 seconds under a 48W LED lamp.

As a chemical product, gel polish must have a valid MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) and a COA (Certificate of Analysis) for every batch. For the US market, compliance with FDA cosmetic regulations is essential, while the EU market requires CPNP registration and adherence to REACH standards. Ensure the manufacturer is ISO 22716 (GMP for Cosmetics) certified to guarantee hygienic production environments.

Request samples to conduct a wear test; professional-grade gel should last 21+ days without chipping, peeling, or cracking. Evaluate the soak-off time, which should ideally be between 10 to 15 minutes without damaging the natural nail plate. Furthermore, check the brush quality, looking for a high-density, flat-curved nylon brush that allows for precise application near the eponychium.

Beyond color selection, discuss bottle molding (custom shapes), silk-screen printing vs. labeling, and outer packaging (unit boxes). Many top-tier suppliers on Made-in-China.com offer OEM/ODM services where you can request unique glitter mixes or seasonal collections. Confirm if the supplier provides pantone color matching to ensure brand consistency across different batches.

Gel polish is often classified as Class 3 Flammable Liquid or 'Dangerous Goods' depending on the flashpoint. You must ensure the supplier provides a UN38.3 test report or a Transport of Goods Safety Certificate. For smaller volumes, use specialized chemical couriers; for bulk, sea freight is more economical but requires strict adherence to IMO (International Maritime Organization) packaging standards.

Always utilize Trade Resources and Secure Payment services provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com. Never pay 100% upfront; a standard 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L) or after a successful third-party pre-shipment inspection is recommended. This ensures the goods meet your quality specifications before the final funds are released.

MOQs for private labels typically range from 500 to 1,000 units per color. To lower costs, negotiate based on total volume across multiple colors rather than per-color volume. Ask for tiered pricing (e.g., 1,000, 5,000, and 10,000 units) to understand the manufacturer's margin. Additionally, request free replacement for defective units (usually a 1-2% defect rate is industry standard) to be included in the contract.

Stay informed about Anti-Dumping Duties (ADD) and specific import tariffs for cosmetic products in your country. For example, some regions impose higher taxes on finished bottled products compared to bulk gallon-sized shipments. If your volume is high, importing in bulk and bottling locally might be a more tax-efficient strategy to explore with your customs broker.
