Rosehip oil manufacturers

The highest quality Rosehip Oil is Cold-Pressed and Unrefined, as heat extraction destroys essential fatty acids and antioxidants. Look for a deep amber or reddish-orange color; a clear or pale yellow oil often indicates heavy processing or dilution. Ensure the oil has a characteristic earthy, nutty scent rather than a floral or rancid smell. Technically, the oil should have a high concentration of Linoleic Acid (Omega-6) and Linolenic Acid (Omega-3), typically verified via a Gas Chromatography (GC-MS) report.

For cosmetic or therapeutic use, suppliers must provide a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch. If exporting to the US, ensure the facility is FDA registered; for the EU, products must comply with REACH and EC No. 1223/2009 regulations. Organic certifications such as USDA Organic, COSMOS, or ECOCERT are highly recommended to command a premium price and ensure the absence of pesticides.

Rosehip Oil is highly sensitive to light and oxidation. It must be stored in amber or cobalt blue glass bottles to block UV rays. For bulk shipments, fluorinated HDPE drums or stainless steel containers with a nitrogen blanket (nitrogen flushing) are essential to prevent oxidation during transit. The ideal storage temperature is below 20°C, and buyers should verify that the supplier uses airtight sealing technology.

Rosehip Oil is primarily used as a base oil in skincare formulations, an active ingredient in anti-aging serums, or a standalone facial oil. Functional requirements include rapid absorption (non-greasy feel) and high bio-availability of Vitamin A (trans-retinoic acid). For manufacturers, batch-to-batch consistency in viscosity and color is critical to maintain the end-product's standardized appearance.

Adulteration with cheaper oils (like sunflower or soybean oil) is a common risk. Request a pre-shipment sample from the mass production batch and conduct third-party laboratory testing. Use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to ensure payment is only released after the quality inspection is passed. Always cross-reference the refractive index and specific gravity provided in the COA with international standards.

Focus on transparency of the supply chain rather than just the lowest price. Ask for the origin of the seeds (e.g., Chile or Lesotho). Negotiate for tiered pricing based on volume, but prioritize suppliers who offer low MOQs for initial trial orders to test market response. Ensure the contract specifies penalties for deviations in active ingredient levels compared to the approved sample.

Rosehip Oil is classified as a non-hazardous liquid, but it requires temperature-controlled shipping (Reefer containers) if crossing tropical zones to prevent rancidity. Ensure the supplier uses heavy-duty palletization and leak-proof secondary packaging. For customs clearance, ensure all HS Codes (typically 1515.90) are correctly declared to avoid delays and additional tariffs.

Conduct a factory audit or video inspection to verify the supplier's production capacity and hygiene standards. Utilize Trade Assurance programs on Made-in-China.com to protect your capital. Avoid using untraceable payment methods; instead, use Letters of Credit (L/C) for large volumes or Telegraphic Transfer (T/T) with a deposit and balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L).
