Sawafuji starter manufacturers

When sourcing Sawafuji starters, primarily used in Hino, Toyota, and industrial engines, you must verify the Voltage (12V or 24V) and Power Output (kW). Pay close attention to the Number of Teeth on the Drive Gear and the Flange Mounting Diameter, as even a 1mm deviation can lead to installation failure. Ensure the supplier uses high-temperature resistant copper wiring for the armature and premium carbon brushes to guarantee a service life exceeding 30,000 starts.

Professional B2B buyers should prioritize suppliers with ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 certifications, which are the gold standards for automotive component manufacturing. Request Performance Test Reports covering No-load current, Load torque, and Solenoid switch durability. For specific markets, ensure compliance with CE marking or EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) standards to prevent interference with the vehicle's electronic control units (ECU).

Sawafuji starters are widely utilized in heavy-duty trucks, construction machinery, and marine generators. It is critical to provide the supplier with the OEM Part Number (e.g., 28100-xxxx or 0350-xxx-xxxx) to ensure 100% compatibility. For extreme environment applications (cold climates or high humidity), ask for starters with enhanced sealing (IP66+ rating) and cold-start optimization features.

Analyze the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by balancing the initial unit price against the warranty period (typically 12–24 months). A starter with a planetary gear reduction system may have a higher upfront cost but offers higher torque-to-weight ratios and better fuel efficiency during ignition, leading to long-term savings for fleet operators.

The biggest risks include core-exchange misunderstandings and shipping damage to the solenoid. Ensure the supplier uses custom-molded foam packaging to prevent heavy units from shifting. To mitigate transaction risks, use Secured Payment services on Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released after the goods pass quality inspection.

Negotiate based on Tiered Pricing; for example, seek a 10-15% discount for orders exceeding 100 units. Request a spare parts kit (brushes, springs, and bearings) to be included at a discounted rate or for free (approx. 2% of order volume) to handle minor repairs locally, which reduces the need for costly international returns.

Since starters are dense and heavy, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is the most cost-effective for bulk orders. Ensure the supplier provides a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) if the starter contains any lubricants or hazardous materials. For urgent samples, use Air Express but confirm the HS Code (851110) to accurately calculate import duties in your destination country.

Look for the 'Audited Supplier' badge, which indicates the factory has been physically inspected by third-party agencies like SGS or Bureau Veritas. Review their Export Percentage and Main Markets to ensure they have experience with the regulatory requirements of your specific region.
