Sds drill bit factory manufacturers

When evaluating SDS drill bits, you must prioritize the carbide tip quality (preferably YG8C or higher grade) and the flute design (such as U-flute or 4-flute) for efficient dust removal. Ensure the shank type matches your requirements, whether it is SDS-Plus (10mm shank) for light work or SDS-Max (18mm shank) for heavy-duty demolition. Additionally, verify the brazing technology used to attach the tip, as high-frequency welding prevents tip loss during high-temperature operation.

A reputable factory should comply with the PGM (Prüfgemeinschaft Mauerbohrer) certification, which guarantees that the bits drill holes precise enough for anchor fixings. For the European market, CE marking and adherence to ISO 9001 quality management systems are essential. If you are sourcing for the US market, ensure the products meet ANSI standards for dimensional accuracy and safety.

Request a Rockwell Hardness (HRC) test report for the body (typically 45-50 HRC) and the tip (typically 89-92 HRA). You should also ask for a drilling speed and lifespan test (e.g., total meters drilled in C30 concrete). Professional factories on Made-in-China.com often provide third-party inspection reports from agencies like SGS or TÜV to validate these performance metrics.

Top factories offer laser-etched branding on the shank, custom surface treatments (such as sandblasting, zinc plating, or copper plating), and bespoke packaging (plastic tubes, pouches, or metal sets). Ensure the factory can handle custom lengths and diameters beyond standard sizes to meet specific industrial needs.

Utilize Secured Trading Services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure payment is only released upon confirmation of receipt. Always conduct a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) to check for straightness, tip alignment, and quantity. Avoid suppliers who refuse to provide material mill certificates for the chrome steel (40Cr) used in the bit body.

Negotiate based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. For high-volume orders, aim for a 15-20% discount compared to sample pricing. If you are a startup, look for factories offering flexible MOQs (e.g., 500-1000 pieces per size) by aligning your production run with their existing manufacturing schedule.

Due to the high weight-to-volume ratio, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is the most economical method for bulk orders. For urgent replenishment, Rail Freight (especially for Central Asia and Europe) offers a balance between cost and speed. Ensure the factory uses reinforced double-corrugated export cartons and palletization to prevent packaging collapse during transit.

Always sign a formal Proforma Invoice (PI) and a Sales Contract that clearly defines the technical specifications and dispute resolution venues. If you have a unique design, ensure you have a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) in place before sharing technical drawings. Verify the supplier's Audit Report on Made-in-China.com to confirm their physical factory existence and production capacity.
