Sequin film manufacturers

When evaluating Sequin Film, you must prioritize material composition (PVC vs. PET). PET is generally preferred for its high temperature resistance (up to 160°C-190°C) and environmental friendliness, making it suitable for heat-press applications. Additionally, check the thickness (typically 125μm to 150μm) and colorfastness, ensuring the film meets Grade 4 or higher to prevent fading after washing or UV exposure.

Technical compatibility is crucial. You should verify the roll width (standard 12.5cm to 15cm) and the inner core diameter to match your punching or embroidery machines. Request information on the film's stiffness (Shore hardness); if the film is too brittle, it will crack during high-speed punching, while too soft film may lead to irregular sequin shapes.

For cross-border trade, especially to the US and EU, Sequin Film must comply with OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and REACH regulations to ensure it is free from harmful substances like lead, phthalates, and azo dyes. If the end product is for children's wear, ensure the supplier provides CPSIA certification to guarantee safety against choking hazards and chemical toxicity.

Sequin Film is versatile, used in fashion apparel, home textiles, and luggage. Functional variations include holographic, laser, matte, and iridescent finishes. For high-end evening wear, look for double-sided color consistency, while for stage costumes, prioritize high-reflectivity coatings that perform well under professional lighting.

To minimize risk, always request a pre-production sample (PPS) and conduct a washing test (at least 10 cycles at 40°C) to check for delamination or color bleeding. Utilize third-party inspection services at the factory before final payment to verify that the batch color consistency (Delta E < 1.0) matches the approved sample.

Negotiate based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Ask for tiered pricing (e.g., 500kg vs. 2000kg) and seek free spare rolls (1-2%) to account for potential waste during the machine setup. For long-term partnerships, negotiate fixed pricing for 6-12 months to protect your margins against raw material (plastic resin) price fluctuations.

Sequin Film is heavy and sensitive to pressure. Ensure the supplier uses reinforced 5-layer corrugated boxes and plastic pallets to prevent the rolls from deforming. For sea freight, specify the use of desiccants (silica gel) inside the packaging to prevent moisture from affecting the film's adhesive backing or metallic coating during long transit times.
