B2B buyers must ensure products are made from medical-grade silicone, TPE, or phthalate-free ABS plastic. It is critical to request SDS (Safety Data Sheets) and verify compliance with REACH (EU) or FDA (US) food-grade standards to ensure the materials are non-toxic and body-safe for long-term use.

For all vibrating or rechargeable items, ensure the supplier provides CE, RoHS, and FCC certifications. If the product contains lithium batteries, a UN38.3 test report and MSDS are mandatory for international shipping and customs clearance to prove the batteries are stable and safe for transport.

Look for an IPX7 rating (submersible up to 1 meter for 30 minutes) for high-end models. Request motor life-cycle test reports to ensure the internal components can withstand at least 200-500 hours of continuous operation without significant noise increase or power loss.

Professional suppliers should offer neutral outer packaging (plain brown boxes) with no sensitive keywords on the shipping label. For private labels, ensure the OEM/ODM service includes high-quality, retail-ready inner boxes that meet local language labeling requirements, including barcode (EAN/UPC) integration.

Different countries have varying definitions of 'obscenity.' Always use accurate HS Codes (e.g., 9019.10 or 3926.90) and ensure the product descriptions on the commercial invoice are professional (e.g., 'Personal Massager' or 'Body Wellness Device'). Consult with a customs broker to ensure the items do not violate local 'decency' laws which could lead to seizure of goods.

Focus on Tiered Pricing based on volume and request a Sample Refund Policy where the cost of samples is deducted from the first bulk order. Prioritize Audited Suppliers on the platform, as they have undergone third-party verification of their manufacturing facilities and business legitimacy.

Utilize Secured Payment services provided by the platform to hold funds until shipping documents are verified. Additionally, hire a third-party inspection agency (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) to check for functional defects, battery safety, and packaging integrity before the final balance is paid.

For small batches, Air Express (DHL/FedEx) is fastest but requires strict battery documentation. For bulk orders, Sea Freight (LCL/FCL) is most cost-effective. Ensure the freight forwarder is experienced in handling Class 9 Dangerous Goods if the lithium battery content exceeds standard limits, to avoid shipping delays or fines.
