Silicone reborn baby dolls manufacturers

B2B buyers must distinguish between Platinum Silicone, which offers a lifelike, soft, and flexible feel with seamless limbs, and Vinyl/PVC, which is firmer and usually has fabric joints. Platinum silicone is hypoallergenic, BPA-free, and more durable, making it the premium choice for high-end collectors, while vinyl is more cost-effective for mass-market retail.

For the US market, products must comply with ASTM F963 and CPSIA (Lead and Phthalates limits). For the EU, EN71 (Parts 1, 2, and 3) and REACH certification are mandatory. Ensure the supplier provides a Children’s Product Certificate (CPC) for US customs to avoid shipment seizures.

Focus on the painting technique (multi-layer Genesis heat-set paints), the realism of hand-rooted mohair or alpaca hair, and the presence of visible veins and capillaries. Request high-definition videos or physical samples to inspect the weight distribution, as premium dolls use glass beads or poly-pellets to mimic the weight of a real infant.

Look for suppliers capable of custom mold creation based on 3D scans or artist sculptures. Key customization points include eye color (German PWS glass eyes), skin tone variations, and private label packaging. Ensure the supplier can handle low-volume custom runs if you are targeting the niche collector market.

The reborn industry is highly sensitive to sculpt copyright. Ensure your supplier owns the original mold rights or has a licensing agreement with the artist. Avoid 'knock-off' kits, as these can lead to legal action or account bans on retail platforms. Always request an IP Authorization Letter.

For high-end full silicone dolls, MOQs are often low (5-10 pieces) due to high unit costs. Negotiate based on Total Landed Cost, and ask for discounts on unpainted kits if you have local artists for finishing. Use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to ensure payment is only released upon proof of shipment.

Silicone can attract dust and be deformed by heavy pressure. Insist on individual PE bag wrapping followed by reinforced corrugated boxes with internal padding. For large orders to the US or Europe, Sea Freight (DDP) is most economical, but ensure the warehouse is temperature-controlled to prevent silicone 'sweating' in extreme heat.

Prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone on-site inspections by third-party agencies like SGS or Intertek. Check their Business License and 'Full Report' to verify their production capacity and whether they are a direct factory or a trading company.
