Solar cooker stove manufacturers

There are three primary types: Parabolic cookers, which offer high temperatures (up to 350°C) for frying and grilling; Box cookers, ideal for slow cooking and baking at moderate temperatures (90-150°C); and Panel cookers, which are low-cost and portable. For B2B buyers, Parabolic models are most popular for outdoor commercial use, while Box cookers are preferred for institutional or residential meal prep due to their 'set and forget' nature.

Prioritize anodized aluminum reflectors or vacuum-coated reflective films with a reflectivity rate of over 90%. The frame should be made of powder-coated carbon steel or stainless steel to prevent rust. For box cookers, ensure the glazing is tempered glass rather than plastic to maintain thermal efficiency and resist scratching over time.

Request data on thermal efficiency and boil time (e.g., 1 liter of water in under 15 minutes for high-power parabolic models). Ensure the focal point is easily adjustable with a stable tracking mechanism. For commercial safety, the structural stability must withstand wind speeds of at least force 4 to 6 without tipping.

Suppliers should ideally comply with ISO 9001 for quality management. For specific markets, look for CE marking (Europe) or ASAE S580.1 (Testing Solar Cookers). If the unit includes integrated batteries or fans, RoHS and REACH compliance for chemical safety is mandatory.

Solar cookers, especially parabolic dishes and glass components, are prone to bending or shattering. Insist on 5-layer corrugated export cartons with custom-molded EPE foam or honeyboard internal protection. For large orders, palletization with shrink wrap is essential to prevent mishandling during transshipment.

Focus on SKD (Semi-Knocked Down) packaging to reduce shipping volume and freight costs, which can save up to 40% on logistics. Negotiate for a 2-3% spare parts allowance (reflectors, screws, handles) included in the unit price to handle minor transit wear without needing full replacements.

Utilize the Secured Trading services on Made-in-China.com to ensure payments are only released after the supplier meets the agreed-upon shipping milestones. Always conduct a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) to verify the reflective coating quality and assembly alignment before the final balance is paid.

For African and Middle Eastern markets, ensure the UV resistance of all plastic components is documented. When shipping to the US or EU, verify that the HS Code (typically 7321.19 or 8516.60) is correctly declared to avoid anti-dumping duties or customs delays related to 'stoves' or 'renewable energy equipment'.
