Square led module manufacturers

Buyers must prioritize Luminous Efficacy (lm/W) to ensure energy efficiency and Color Rendering Index (CRI >80) for accurate color representation. For outdoor applications, an IP65 or IP67 rating is mandatory to ensure dust and water resistance. Additionally, verify the Input Voltage (typically DC12V or DC24V) to ensure compatibility with existing power supplies and check for Constant Current ICs which prevent voltage drops and ensure uniform brightness across long chains.

High-quality modules utilize an Aluminum PCB (MCPCB) for superior heat dissipation compared to standard FR-4 boards. You should request the LM-80 test report, which provides data on lumen maintenance over time. Ensure the operating temperature range aligns with your environment, typically -20°C to +60°C, and look for over-temperature protection features to prevent premature diode failure.

For the US market, UL or ETL listing is essential for fire safety and insurance compliance. For the European Union, CE (LVD/EMC) and RoHS certifications are required to meet safety and environmental hazardous substance standards. If the modules are for signage, ensure they meet FCC Part 15 to avoid electromagnetic interference with other electronic devices.

The beam angle determines light distribution. A 160° to 170° wide-angle lens is ideal for shallow light boxes (3-5cm depth) to prevent 'hot spots' or shadowing. For deeper installations, a 120° standard lens provides more concentrated light. Choosing the correct optics can reduce the number of modules required per square meter by up to 20%, significantly lowering total project costs.

Always specify the LED chip brand (e.g., San'an, Osram, or Samsung) in the Proforma Invoice (PI). Request a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) or use a third-party service to verify the brightness (mcd/lux) and color temperature (CCT) consistency. On Made-in-China.com, prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone on-site verification of their manufacturing capabilities.

LED modules are sensitive to static and pressure. Negotiate for Anti-static packaging (ESD bags) and reinforced outer cartons with corner protectors. For shipping, FOB (Free On Board) is recommended for bulk orders to maintain control over freight costs, while DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) is better for smaller batches to simplify customs clearance and tax handling.

Utilize Secured Payment services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released upon confirmation of receipt. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts. Always draft a detailed Purchase Order (PO) that includes a defective rate clause (e.g., a 0.3% spare parts allowance or a 2-5 year replacement warranty) to protect against batch failures.
