For B2B procurement, prioritize Super Soft Crystal Velvet or PP Cotton filling that is high-resilience and anti-collapse. Ensure the outer fabric is hypoallergenic and lint-free to prevent respiratory issues in children. The internal filling must be 100% new polyester fiber, as recycled materials may contain contaminants.

Compliance is non-negotiable. For the US market, products must pass ASTM F963 and CPSIA testing. For the EU, EN71 (Parts 1, 2, and 3) and the CE mark are required. Always request a Children’s Product Certificate (CPC) from the supplier to ensure the eyes and small parts meet pull-test requirements (90N tension) to prevent choking hazards.

Focus on the stitching density; high-quality plush toys should have at least 8-10 stitches per inch to prevent seam bursting. Check the embroidery quality of the eyes and beak—computerized embroidery is preferred over plastic attachments for infants. Additionally, verify if the product is machine-washable without losing its shape or softness.

Look for suppliers who offer private labeling (woven tags), custom heat-transfer printing for logos, and bespoke sizing (ranging from 30cm to 190cm giant geese). Advanced suppliers can also provide vacuum packaging services to reduce shipping volume by up to 70%, significantly lowering your landed cost.

Plush toys are 'light cargo' (high volume, low weight). Use vacuum compression packaging to maximize container utilization. When sourcing from Made-in-China.com, negotiate FOB (Free On Board) terms to maintain control over your freight forwarder and avoid hidden 'destination charges' common in CIF terms.

Request a pre-production sample (PPS) before the bulk run. Negotiate a 30/70 payment term (30% deposit, 70% balance after passing a third-party pre-shipment inspection). For large orders, ask for a 1-2% spare parts allowance to cover any minor defects found during retail distribution.

Verify the supplier's Business License and check if they are an Audited Supplier on Made-in-China.com. Use secure payment methods like Escrow or Trade Assurance services provided by the platform to ensure your funds are protected until the goods are confirmed to be shipped.

Be aware of Anti-Dumping Duties or specific textile quotas that may apply to your region. Ensure the HS Code (typically 9503.00) is correctly declared on the Commercial Invoice to avoid customs delays or incorrect tariff applications. Always confirm the Country of Origin (COO) labeling is permanently attached to each unit.
