Tapestry fabric manufacturers

Selecting the material depends on the end-use. For wall hangings and home decor, 100% polyester or poly-cotton blends are preferred due to their wrinkle resistance and color vibrancy. For upholstery or heavy-duty applications, look for high-density jacquard weaves with a weight of at least 300-400 GSM to ensure durability and structural integrity.

Buyers should prioritize colorfastness to light (Grade 4 or higher) to prevent fading in sunny rooms. Additionally, verify the thread count and weave density; a tighter weave ensures intricate pattern definition and prevents snagging. For commercial projects, ensure the fabric passes the Martindale Abrasion Test (minimum 20,000 rubs).

Ensure the fabric meets OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 to guarantee it is free from harmful substances. For the US market, compliance with CAL 117-2013 (flammability standards) is often required for upholstery, while the EU market requires adherence to REACH regulations regarding chemical dyes.

Top-tier suppliers on Made-in-China.com offer OEM/ODM services where you can provide high-resolution AI or PSD files for custom patterns. Confirm if the supplier uses digital printing (best for small batches and complex colors) or yarn-dyed jacquard weaving (best for premium, textured, and long-lasting designs).

The primary risks include color variance (metamerism) between digital samples and physical goods, and inconsistent fabric hand-feel. To mitigate this, always request a pre-production sample (PPS) and use third-party inspection services to verify the GSM and width before final shipment.

For tapestry fabric, MOQs typically range from 50 to 500 meters depending on whether it is a stock item or custom weave. Negotiate for tiered pricing; increasing your order volume can often reduce the unit price by 10-20%. Ask for 'sample yardage' at a slightly higher price to test the market before committing to a bulk container.

Tapestry fabrics should be rolled on strong paper tubes rather than folded to avoid permanent creasing. Ensure the rolls are wrapped in double-layer plastic packaging (PE + Woven bag) to prevent moisture ingress and mold during sea freight. For large orders, use FOB (Free On Board) terms to maintain better control over shipping costs and schedules.

Utilize the Secured Trading Service on Made-in-China.com to protect your payments. Never transfer full payments upfront; a standard industry practice is a 30% deposit and 70% balance payment against the Bill of Lading (B/L) copy after quality inspection is passed.
