Toyota engine 1kd price manufacturers

The Toyota 1KD-FTV is a 3.0L Inline-4 Common Rail Diesel engine. You must verify the Turbocharger type (typically Variable Nozzle Turbo/VNT), the fuel injector generation, and the compression ratio (17.9:1). Ensure the engine assembly includes the ECU (Engine Control Unit) and wiring harness if you are performing a full conversion, as these are critical for electronic fuel injection synchronization.

A Brand New engine should come with a zero-mileage guarantee and original factory seals. A Rebuilt/Remanufactured engine should have a detailed report of replaced parts, such as new pistons, rings, and bearings, and should undergo a compression test (standard is approx. 3.0 MPa). Used (JDM/Import) engines are more affordable but require a leak-down test and inspection of the timing belt condition before purchase.

Ensure the supplier follows ISO 9001 or TS16949 quality management systems. For international trade, the engine must meet Euro 3 or Euro 4 emission standards depending on the target market's regulations. Always request a Video Startup Test and a Quality Inspection Certificate from the manufacturer to ensure the block is free of cracks and the cylinder head is not warped.

The 1KD is primarily used in the Toyota Hilux, Land Cruiser Prado, and Hiace. Before purchasing, confirm the sump (oil pan) position (front, mid, or rear) and the bell housing pattern, as these vary between the Hilux and Hiace models. Compatibility with the A340F or A750F automatic transmissions should also be verified if purchasing a complete drivetrain.

The biggest risks are internal mechanical defects that aren't visible in photos and shipping damage. To mitigate this, use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to ensure payment is only released after shipping documents are verified. Additionally, insist on heavy-duty fumigated wooden crate packaging to prevent moisture ingress and physical impact during sea freight.

While the Unit Price for a 1KD engine ranges significantly based on condition, you can negotiate a 5-10% discount for orders of 5+ units. For single-unit sample orders, focus on negotiating after-sales warranty terms (aim for at least 6-12 months) rather than just the price, as a warranty provides more value in the event of a mechanical failure.

Engines are classified as Class 9 Hazardous Materials if they contain residual oil or fuel. Ensure the supplier provides a Non-Hazardous Declaration by thoroughly draining all fluids (oil/coolant) before shipping. You will need the HS Code (typically 840820) for customs clearance and should clarify Incoterms (FOB or CIF) to determine who handles the maritime insurance.

Prioritize Audited Suppliers on Made-in-China.com who have undergone on-site factory inspections. Check their export history to your specific region (e.g., Southeast Asia, Africa, or South America) and request third-party inspection reports (like SGS or BV) if you are placing a high-value bulk order.
