Used golf ball manufacturers

Used golf balls are typically classified into Grade A (Mint), Grade B (Near Mint), and Grade C (Practice/Refurbished). Grade A balls should show no scuffs or discoloration, appearing like new. Grade B may have minor cosmetic blemishes or player marks, while Grade C is suitable for driving ranges and may have scuffs or slight discoloration. Buyers must clarify the grading scale with the supplier to ensure consistency.

Recycled balls are simply washed and sorted without altering the original finish, preserving the original manufacturer's flight characteristics. Refurbished balls have been stripped and repainted/re-stamped, which can sometimes affect aerodynamics and spin rates. For professional resale, Recycled Grade A is generally preferred over Refurbished units.

Ensure the balls maintain compression integrity and meet USGA/R&A weight and size standards (1.680 inches diameter, 1.620 oz weight). For high-end batches, request a random sample compression test to ensure the inner core hasn't degraded due to prolonged water exposure (lake balls).

When purchasing mixes containing brands like Titleist, TaylorMade, or Callaway, request the supplier to provide detailed sorting logs. Verify that the dimple patterns and side-stamps match the authentic year of production to avoid counterfeit 'refurbished' versions entering your inventory.

The biggest risk is 'Grade Inflation', where a supplier mixes lower-grade balls into a premium shipment. To mitigate this, use third-party inspection services at the warehouse before shipping. Another risk is moisture retention; ensure the balls are completely dried before bulk packaging to prevent mold or odor during long-sea transit.

Focus on volume-based pricing tiers. For used goods, suppliers often have high inventory; you can negotiate a 10-15% discount for orders exceeding a 20ft container. Always request a sample pack representing all grades before committing to a full container to establish a quality benchmark for future disputes.

Used golf balls are heavy and dense, making Sea Freight (FCL/LCL) the only economical option. Ensure the HS Code (9506320000) is correctly declared. Some countries have strict biosecurity laws regarding soil or organic matter on used items; confirm the supplier uses ultrasonic cleaning and disinfection protocols.

Utilize Secured Payment services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released after the Bill of Lading (B/L) is confirmed or the inspection report is approved. Avoid direct wire transfers to unverified accounts for first-time orders.
