Used juki machines manufacturers

When sourcing used Juki equipment, you must prioritize the mechanical integrity and model generation. Key specs include the motor type (prefer Energy-saving Servo Motors over older clutch motors), stitch length consistency, and automatic functions like thread trimming and back-tacking. For heavy-duty models like the DDL-8700 or LU-1508, verify the maximum sewing speed (RPM) and presser foot lift height to ensure they meet your production requirements. Always request the original serial number to verify the manufacturing year and authenticity.

A professional assessment should focus on wear-and-tear parts. Check the rotary hook for scratches, the needle bar for play/wobble, and the feed dog for sharpness. Ask for a video of the machine running at full speed to listen for abnormal noise or vibration. High-quality refurbished units from reputable suppliers on Made-in-China.com often include replaced consumable parts (belts, bobbin cases, and needles) and a thorough internal cleaning to extend the machine's operational life by several years.

Even for used equipment, compliance is vital. Ensure the machines meet CE Marking requirements for the European market or UL/CSA standards for North America, particularly regarding electrical wiring and motor safety. Verify that the voltage and frequency (e.g., 110V/220V, 50/60Hz) are compatible with your local power grid. Additionally, ensure the supplier provides protective finger guards and belt covers to comply with international workplace safety regulations.

Selection depends on the application: The DDL series (e.g., DDL-9000) is the industry standard for light-to-medium apparel like shirts and suits. The MO series (Overlock) is essential for knitwear and seam finishing. For heavy materials like leather, upholstery, or automotive interiors, the LU or PLC series (Walking Foot) is required. Understanding your specific fabric weight and production volume is critical to choosing the right model to avoid machine strain and frequent downtime.

The primary risk in used machinery is 'hidden damage.' To mitigate this, only work with 'Audited Suppliers' on Made-in-China.com who have undergone third-party verification. Insist on a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) where a technician tests the machine under load. Request a detailed refurbishment report that lists which parts were replaced and which are original. Using Secured Payment services ensures that funds are only released once shipping documents are verified.

Focus your negotiation on value-added services rather than just the unit price. Negotiate for a spare parts kit (extra hooks, needles, and tension springs) to be included at no cost. Discuss warranty terms; while new machines have long warranties, a reliable used supplier should offer at least a 3 to 6-month warranty on major components like the PC board and motor. For bulk orders, aim for a 5-10% discount or free sea-worthy wooden crate packaging.

Shipping used machinery requires specialized packaging to prevent rust and impact damage; ensure the supplier uses vacuum plastic wrapping and reinforced wooden cases. From a policy perspective, check if your country has restrictions or additional duties on 'Used/Second-hand' goods. You must ensure the HS Code (typically 8452290000) is correctly declared and that the Commercial Invoice clearly states the machine is 'Used/Refurbished' to avoid customs valuation disputes.

Always conduct communications and payments through the official channels of Made-in-China.com. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts. Utilize Trade Terms like FOB (Free On Board) to maintain control over the main carriage and insurance. Before final payment, verify the Bill of Lading (B/L) and ensure the container seal number matches the documentation provided by the freight forwarder.
