Used underwear manufacturers

In the global second-hand textile trade, products are typically categorized into Grade A (Cream Grade) and Grade B. For used underwear, buyers must demand Grade A quality, which implies the items are free from stains, holes, fading, or loss of elasticity. The fabric should retain its original texture, and elastic waistbands must be fully functional. Suppliers on Made-in-China.com often provide sorting videos to verify that the items are 'like-new' before baling.

Hygiene is the most critical factor. Professional suppliers must provide a Fumigation Certificate and a Disinfection Certificate. The disinfection process usually involves Formaldehyde or Ethylene Oxide (ETO) treatment to eliminate bacteria and odors. Buyers should ensure the supplier follows ISO 9001 quality management and provides a Health Certificate issued by recognized third-party inspection bodies to meet international sanitary requirements.

Buyers should specify the ratio of materials, such as Cotton, Silk, or Synthetic fibers (Nylon/Spandex). Sorting is usually done by gender and age group. For high-value shipments, request 'Human-Sorted' verification to ensure that only wearable, high-quality pieces are included. It is recommended to define the bale weight (usually 45kg, 80kg, or 100kg) and request a detailed packing list that specifies the quantity of bras, panties, or thermal underwear per bale.

Import regulations vary significantly. For example, many African and Southeast Asian markets have specific restrictions on the age and condition of used garments. You must verify if your target country requires a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI), such as SGS or BV inspections. Failure to provide the correct Certificate of Origin or disinfection documents can lead to customs seizure or mandatory destruction of the goods at the port of entry.

The 'blind box' nature of used clothing is a major risk. To mitigate this, never skip the sample bale phase. Use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to protect your payment. Additionally, hire a third-party inspector to be present during the loading process to perform a random bale opening test, ensuring the interior quality matches the top-layer samples.

Focus on the 'Yield Rate' rather than just the price per kilogram. A slightly higher price for a guaranteed 95% Grade A rate is more profitable than a cheap bale with 40% waste. Negotiate for exclusive sorting rights if you are a high-volume buyer, and request transparency in the sourcing origin (e.g., first-tier cities in China generally provide higher-quality fashion items).

Used underwear is highly compressible. To optimize shipping costs, ensure the supplier uses high-pressure hydraulic baling machines to maximize container utilization. A 40ft HC container can typically hold 25-28 tons of baled clothing. Ensure the outer packaging is double-layered waterproof woven bags to prevent moisture ingress and mold during long sea voyages.

Always verify the supplier's Business License and Export Permit specifically for second-hand goods. Utilize Escrow-based payment terms where funds are only released upon proof of the Bill of Lading (B/L) and required Sanitary Certificates. Avoid direct wire transfers to unverified personal accounts; always use the official corporate accounts listed on professional B2B platforms.
