Vertical air curtain manufacturers

When sourcing vertical air curtains, the most critical factor is the Air Velocity (m/s) and Air Volume (m³/h). For standard commercial entrances (up to 2.5m), a velocity of 12-15 m/s is sufficient, but for industrial warehouse doors, you may require 20 m/s or higher to effectively block wind. Additionally, verify the Motor Type; pure copper motors are preferred for their heat dissipation and longevity compared to aluminum-wire motors. Noise levels should be kept below 60dB for retail environments to ensure customer comfort.

Buyers must prioritize products with CE, RoHS, or UL certifications depending on the target market (Europe or North America). For energy efficiency, look for models featuring inverter technology (EC motors), which can reduce power consumption by up to 30-50% compared to traditional AC motors. If the unit includes heating elements, ensure it has overheat protection sensors and PTC electric heaters, which are safer and more durable than traditional heating wires.

Since these are vertical units, confirm the Base Stability and whether the unit requires floor-bolting or side-wall bracing. Check the Effective Shielding Height/Width; a vertical unit must cover the full height of the door to prevent 'air leakage' at the top. For humid or coastal environments, specify 304 Stainless Steel casing or anti-corrosion powder coating to prevent rust and structural failure over time.

The main risk is structural deformation during LCL (Less than Container Load) shipping. Because vertical air curtains are long and relatively slim, they are prone to bending. You must mandate reinforced wooden crate packaging (not just cartons) and ensure the supplier uses EPE foam buffering inside. Always request pre-shipment inspection photos of the internal motor mounting to ensure nothing shifted during factory testing.

For B2B cross-border transactions, returning a heavy unit is cost-prohibitive. Negotiate for 1-2% free-of-charge (FOC) spare parts (such as capacitors, remote controllers, and fan blades) to be included in the bulk shipment. Ensure the contract specifies a 12-24 month warranty on the motor and requires the supplier to provide technical video support for local maintenance teams.

Utilize secure payment terms such as Letter of Credit (L/C) for large volumes or Escrow-based services provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com. This ensures that funds are only released once the Bill of Lading (B/L) is verified. Additionally, hire a third-party inspector (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a 'During Production Check' (DUPRO) to verify that the motor specifications match the agreed-upon datasheet before the final balance is paid.
