Video greeting card manufacturers

When evaluating Video Greeting Cards, focus on the Screen Type (LCD or IPS), where IPS offers better viewing angles. The Resolution should be at least 480x272 for 4.3-inch screens and 1024x600 for 7-inch screens to ensure clarity. Additionally, verify the Battery Capacity (typically 300mAh to 1500mAh) to ensure it supports at least 1.5 to 2 hours of continuous playback. Memory capacity is also critical; standard cards come with 128MB to 256MB, but for high-definition content, you should request 1GB or higher.

The outer shell is usually made of 300g to 350g art paper or hardcover greyboard. Ensure the supplier uses high-quality magnetic switches or light sensors for automatic playback, as these are common failure points. Request information on the printing process (CMYK offset printing) and ask for anti-scratch lamination (matte or glossy) to protect the card during international transit.

Since these cards contain lithium batteries and electronic circuits, they must comply with CE, RoHS, and FCC certifications. For the US market, ensure the batteries have UL certification and the product meets California Proposition 65 requirements if applicable. Always ask the supplier for a valid MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) and UN38.3 report to facilitate smooth customs clearance and air freight.

Yes, professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com offer extensive customization. This includes custom die-cut shapes, foil stamping/UV spot finishes, and pre-loading encrypted video content. You can also request Auto-play functions upon opening or the inclusion of multiple buttons for volume control, play/pause, and video selection.

Video Greeting Cards are classified as 'Dangerous Goods' (Section II of PI967) because of the built-in lithium batteries. You must ensure the supplier uses specialized battery-compliant logistics channels. Failure to provide the correct UN38.3 documentation can lead to shipment rejection by airlines or seizure by customs. It is recommended to use DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms if you are unfamiliar with battery import regulations.

Implement a strict QC protocol by hiring a third-party inspector to perform a Functionality Test on at least 10% of the batch. Check for dead pixels, speaker distortion, and charging port stability. To prevent battery depletion during long-term sea freight, negotiate with the supplier to ensure batteries are charged to 30-50% capacity before sealing and that the magnetic switch is properly insulated to prevent accidental activation in the box.

MOQs for custom printing usually start at 50-100 units. To get the best pricing, offer a staged procurement plan where you start with a sample run and commit to larger volumes (500+ units) for a 5-10% discount. Always clarify if the quoted price includes the USB charging cable and individual mailer boxes, as these are often hidden costs.

Always conduct transactions through secure payment systems provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com. Utilize Trade Messenger to keep all technical specifications and quality promises in writing. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts; instead, use Escrow-based services where payment is only released to the supplier after you confirm the Bill of Lading (B/L) or inspection report.
