Vitamin c effervescent tablet manufacturers

When sourcing Vitamin C effervescent tablets, the active ingredient content (typically 500mg or 1000mg) must be verified through a Certificate of Analysis (COA). Key performance indicators include disintegration time (should be <5 minutes in 200ml water), pH levels (to ensure gastric comfort), and moisture content (<3%) to prevent premature degradation. Ensure the tablets use food-grade acidulants (citric acid) and carbonates (sodium bicarbonate) that meet pharmacopoeia standards.

Suppliers must possess GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and ISO 22000 or HACCP certifications to ensure food safety. For specific markets, look for FDA registration (USA), EFSA compliance (Europe), or HALAL/KOSHER certifications if targeting specific demographic groups. Always request third-party lab testing reports for heavy metals (Lead, Mercury, Arsenic) and microbial purity.

Effervescent tablets are highly sensitive to humidity. Ensure the supplier uses desiccant-integrated tube caps and aluminum foil sealing. The tubes should be made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or aluminum. Request stability testing data (accelerated and long-term) to confirm the product maintains its potency and physical integrity throughout its 24-month shelf life under various climate zones.

Most professional manufacturers on Made-in-China.com offer OEM/ODM services. You can customize the flavor profile (orange, lemon, peach are standard), sweetener type (sucralose vs. stevia), and colorants (natural vs. artificial). Advanced buyers may request synergistic formulas, such as adding Zinc, Vitamin D3, or Elderberry extract to enhance the immune-support marketing claim.

The biggest risk is Customs Seizure due to non-compliant labeling or prohibited ingredients. Ensure all labels follow the destination country's regulations (e.g., Supplement Facts panel format). Another risk is oxidation during transit; ensure the cargo is kept in a cool, dry environment and avoid shipping during peak summer months in non-temperature-controlled containers if possible.

Utilize Secured Trading Services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until delivery is confirmed. Conduct a factory audit (either in-person or via a third-party like SGS/TÜV) to verify that the production lines for effervescent tablets are segregated from other powders to prevent cross-contamination.

Focus on Tiered Pricing based on Volume; for orders exceeding 50,000 tubes, you should expect a 15-25% price reduction. Negotiate for free samples for initial lab testing and ask for a small trial order (low MOQ) to test market response before committing to a full container load. Clarify Incoterms (FOB vs CIF) early to avoid hidden logistics costs.

For bulk orders, Sea Freight (FCL or LCL) is the most economical, but ensure the use of pallets with moisture-proof shrink wrap. For high-value or urgent stock replenishment, Air Freight is viable but significantly increases the unit cost. Always include Marine Insurance that covers 'hidden damage' related to moisture ingress during the voyage.
