White n95 mask manufacturers

A genuine N95 mask must be certified by NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health). The key technical requirement is a filtration efficiency of at least 95% against non-oil based particles. It must feature electrostatically charged melt-blown polypropylene as the core filter layer. Additionally, look for a secure seal provided by two headbands (not ear loops) and an adjustable nose clip to prevent leakage.

You must verify the NIOSH Approval Number (TC number) printed on the mask and cross-reference it with the CDC/NIOSH Certified Equipment List. For exports to the EU, the equivalent standard is EN 149:2001+A1:2009 (FFP2 or FFP3), which requires a CE mark followed by a 4-digit Notified Body number. Always request a Declaration of Conformity (DoC) and valid test reports from accredited third-party labs like SGS or TUV.

N95 masks are primarily used in medical environments, industrial construction (dust protection), and wildfire smoke mitigation. For medical-grade N95s (Surgical N95), the mask must also be fluid resistant to protect against splashes and sprays. Ensure the breathability (pressure drop) meets standard limits to allow for extended wear without significant respiratory resistance.

Pricing is heavily influenced by material quality (GSM of melt-blown fabric) and packaging requirements (individual vs. bulk pack). For large-scale orders, economies of scale typically apply at quantities over 50,000 units, where prices can drop by 20-40%. Buyers should also account for shelf-life (usually 3-5 years) to avoid inventory obsolescence.

The most significant risk is counterfeit certification or 'fake' NIOSH stamps. Another risk is substandard melt-blown fabric that fails filtration tests despite looking correct. To mitigate this, use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services and insist on a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) to verify that the batch being shipped matches the approved sample.

Negotiate for a staged payment term (e.g., 30% deposit, 70% after passing third-party inspection). Clearly define Quality Acceptable Limits (AQL) in the contract. For long-term supply, ask for a fixed-price agreement to protect against fluctuations in raw material costs (polypropylene) and ensure priority production slots during peak demand periods.

N95 masks are often classified as Medical Devices (HS Code 630790). Ensure the supplier provides a Medical Device Business License and the products are on the 'White List' of the China Chamber of Commerce (CCCMHPIE) for export. For shipping to the US, ensure the importer of record has the necessary FDA registration to avoid customs seizures.

Always conduct a Supplier Audit to verify the factory's physical existence and production capacity. Utilize Trade Assurance or Escrow services provided by professional platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment and compliance. Avoid using non-traceable payment methods like Western Union for B2B transactions.
