Wholesale floating lamp manufacturers

The core technology is Magnetic Levitation (Maglev). You must verify the maximum levitation height (typically 10-20mm) and the weight capacity of the electromagnetic base. Ensure the lamp uses Wireless Induction Power to light the bulb without cables. For durability, prioritize bases made of CNC-machined wood or high-grade ABS and bulbs with a lifespan of at least 50,000 hours.

Since these are electronic decorative items, they must meet CE, RoHS, and FCC certifications to ensure electromagnetic compatibility and hazardous substance restriction. For the US market, UL or ETL listing for the power adapter is critical. If the product contains high-strength magnets, ensure it complies with Magnetic Field Safety Standards to prevent interference with other electronic devices.

Request a video of the 'Automatic Return' or 'Fail-safe' feature, which pulls the bulb to the base during power outages to prevent breakage. Check the noise level of the electromagnetic base; high-quality units should be virtually silent. Additionally, verify if the lamp features touch-sensitive controls and adjustable brightness levels to meet diverse consumer preferences.

Look for suppliers on Made-in-China.com that offer custom 3D-printed moon textures, laser-engraved wooden bases, or RGB color-changing LEDs controlled via remote or app. Customized packaging is also essential for wholesale, as these items are fragile and often sold as premium gifts.

Magnetic items are classified as 'Dangerous Goods' (Class 9) in air freight if the magnetic field strength exceeds specific limits. You must ensure the supplier provides a Magnetic Inspection Report and uses magnetic shielding packaging (iron sheets or specialized foam) to avoid shipment rejection or additional surcharges.

Start by requesting a Pre-shipment Inspection (PSI). Negotiate a contract where 5-10% of the final payment is withheld until the goods pass a third-party quality check. Use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to protect your deposit. Demand a defective rate guarantee of less than 1%, with clear terms for replacements or refunds for units that fail to levitate.

Due to the delicate nature of the internal coils and glass bulbs, Sea Freight with Palletization is recommended for large volumes to minimize manual handling. Ensure the Drop Test (ISTA 1A or 2A) has been passed. For small trial orders, use Express Couriers (DHL/FedEx) but insist on double-walled corrugated outer cartons and individual bubble-wrap protection.

Classify the product correctly under HS Code 9405.21 (Electric table, desk, bedside or night-floor standing lamps). Check for specific anti-dumping duties or trade barriers in your country. For example, US buyers should be aware of Section 301 tariffs on Chinese electronics and consult with a customs broker to optimize tax liabilities.
