Wholesale thiabendazole manufacturers

Thiabendazole (CAS No. 148-79-8) is a high-efficiency, broad-spectrum systemic fungicide. For wholesale procurement, you must ensure a purity level of ≥99% (Technical Grade). Key specifications include a melting point of 296-303°C and a loss on drying of ≤0.5%. If purchasing for agricultural use, verify the particle size (mesh) to ensure optimal solubility and suspension in water-based formulations.

As a pesticide and food preservative (E233), compliance is critical. Suppliers should provide a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch. Ensure the product meets FAO/WHO specifications for agricultural use. For export to the EU, REACH registration is essential, while for the US, EPA registration and compliance with FDA residue limits for post-harvest treatment are required.

Thiabendazole is primarily used as a post-harvest fungicide to control mold, blight, and rot in fruits (like citrus and bananas) and vegetables. It also functions as an anthelmintic agent in veterinary medicine to treat intestinal parasites. In industrial sectors, it is used as an antifungal additive in paints, carpets, and textiles to prevent mildew growth.

Thiabendazole is stable under normal temperatures and pressures but should be stored in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated warehouse. It must be kept in tightly sealed containers (typically 25kg fiber drums) away from strong oxidizing agents and direct sunlight. Ensure the supplier uses moisture-proof lining to prevent clumping during long-term sea transit.

Thiabendazole is often classified under HS Code 293499 or 380892. You must ensure the supplier provides a valid Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and a Dangerous Goods Declaration if required by the shipping line. Use FOB or CIF terms to clearly define the point of risk transfer, and always confirm if the destination port has specific quarantine or chemical import permits.

To secure your investment, prioritize Audited Suppliers on Made-in-China.com who have undergone third-party onsite inspections. Utilize Secured Payment services to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment. It is highly recommended to hire a third-party inspection agency (like SGS or Intertek) to perform pre-shipment sampling and lab testing to verify purity levels before the balance payment.

Chemical pricing is sensitive to raw material costs. Negotiate based on tiered pricing structures; for example, orders exceeding 5 metric tons should command a 10-15% discount compared to 1-ton orders. Request a long-term supply agreement to lock in prices against market volatility, and ask for free samples (100g-500g) to conduct your own lab validation before committing to a bulk contract.

Buyers must stay updated on International Trade Policies regarding pesticide residues. Check the MRL (Maximum Residue Limit) regulations in your specific country, as these are frequently updated. Ensure all packaging features bilingual labels (English and the destination language) that include hazard warnings, usage instructions, and emergency contact information to comply with local customs laws.
